Don’t miss the bar. Sometimes there’s a wait for tables in the bar but they have a signup sheet on the wall beside the bar.

Brunch menu is amazing and nothing disappointed. Complementary sea salt chocolate chip cookies at the front while you wait. Sangrias were light but you're able to feel the punch of the wine. Get a pitcher if you have a group with you. Wait staff is quick and also friendly with all questions. Rib eye tacos were bomb as well as the prime rib dip. Kale salad was tasty also and be sure to add a chicken with it. Deviled eggs were some of the best I've had and they also have savory options also with pancakes and French toast.

My Mom's birthday brunch here was fun. Always packed but a great family crowd. Menu is diverse and always tasty. Huge salads and great steaks too! Love the old train station setting.

It is always crowded here on the weekends. They offer bottomless mimosas for brunch and free valet, which makes it an easy choice for weekend brunch plans.

There taco selections are very unique and delicious. I enjoyed their wine selection and the red velvet cake was amazing. The atmosphere is fun and aesthetically pleasing.

Always order more deviled eggs than you think you need - you'll want more. The brunch here is amazing and the free salted chocolate chip cookies are perfect to munch on while waiting for your table.

It was a nice lunch date, devil egg with bacon was really good. Especially we went right before they started their waiting list.

Nice ambiance but food is disappointing!

The wait for La Grande Orange is absurd on the weekends. Expect to wait 45mins to one hour for brunch. It looks like it's indeed the "it" place to go to for brunch in Pasadena so the place gets crowded. The ambiance is pretty nice and there's plenty of seating for large parties, although sadly the presentation of the food looks better than the actual taste of the food.

The group of 5 of us ordered the following items:
-Deviled Eggs
-Shredded kale and quinoa salad
-Ingo's Short Rib Hash x2
-Wood-fired rotisserie chicken
-The Howie burger

The only items on this list that were notable were the Deviled eggs with bacon and kale salad. Everything else tasted bland or wasn't as good as it looked. Even the lemonade tasted terrible. It was way too sour and we had to add packets of sugar to make it taste somewhat tolerable. Ingo's Short Rib Hash was highly recommended although we expected it to taste sweeter and the amount of potatoes to short rib ratio was off. There was barely any meat in the dish. Also, the Howie burger was not flavorful and cooked way too rare. The wood-fired rotisserie chicken was also a disappointment. We were intrigued to order this item because we were seated outside and watched the chicken cook in their wood-fried oven, although the chicken was so bland and we even mentioned how Costco's chicken tasted better than this. There's plenty of brunch options in Pasadena so I would suggest skipping this place. You can get a much better meal with the prices that you will pay here.

Tip* Valet is complimentary from 11-3 and $6 after. 90 min free parking in the structure next door. They also have complimentary sea salt cookies but they were way too salty for my liking so I had to scrape off the salt.

*They also charge a 3% on your meal for their employee benefits that they don't tell you until you get your bill. I consider this a hidden charge and honestly frowned upon for restaurants.

The service is exceptional. From the hostess to the servers everyone is exceptionally skilled at their trade and not your regular side job LA waiter.

Came for Sunday early dinner.

Appetizer
Started out with the new style crudo pictured here. Very fresh and highly recommended.

Entrees
Had the rotisserie prime rib of beef since they had an on-site wood fire oven. I was not impressed and would not recommend this dish. It was filled with fat and veggies were not that well marinated.
Also had the Tuna sashimi salad. It was extremely delicious but at $16 quite pricey for socal. I guess it's Pasadena so you can charge a bit more.

Dessert
We finished with a very smooth and extremely recommended spoon of gelato. Delish! They had real mint leaves in the gelato.

----LONG STORY SHORT----
Food here was EXCELLENT! Sangria here was delicious! Service was great too! I would definitely come back here again, and will also recommend you to give this place a try as well!

=TIPS=
1) Park in the Del Mar Train Station parking lot right behind the restaurant and remember to get your ticket validated after the meal!!
2) Munch of some DELICIOUS Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies while waiting for your table!
3) Neighborhood nights on Mondays & Tuesdays: Buy 1 entree, get the 2nd one for $5 after 4pm! WHAT?!?!?!

----SHORT STORY LONG----
=FOOD & DRINKS (Dinner Menu)=
1) Guacamole & Chips with Charred Tomato Salsa - YES EAT IT!!! All homemade and ALL SO delicious! It's almost hard to mess up guacamole, but it's also hard to make excellent guacamole. LGO's Guacamole is so good, fresh, chunky and just made with excellent quality! The Charred Tomato sauce was good as well, but we all kept dipping back into the Guac!

2) Short Rib Tacos - YES, yes, YES, yes! EAT THIS!!! You've got to try the Short Rib Tacos here. The short ribs were just amazing! Great flavor, super tender/soft and juicy. The chefs made this perfectly. I could eat that all day! The meal also comes with Kale Salad...SO GOOD! Almost as if I weren't eating kale at all! There's also guacamole and pico de gallo for the tacos. The tacos themselves were also of excellent quality. What a meal and it was such a large portion too!

3) Café White Sangria - Oh yes!! DRINK THIS! This was a very refreshing drink! It has great flavor and is packed with fruits! Just sweet enough and gave the 3 of us a little buzz after finishing the pitcher. Yes, you can...and probably should get a pitcher!

=SERVICE=
Great service. Our server seemed slightly out of it at times, but she was still so nice and kept coming by to help us pour more sangria into our cups. Food came out really quickly as well!

My first experience in DineLA was the best of the four restaurant I had try so far. Our group did not decided where to eat till like 6pm because more of the restaurant in the DineLA were fully booked in Friday Night, this one was first come serve basis. I call the restaurant and was told the wait will be about an hour. I check the review was mostly positive, and the menu is not expensive. Therefore, we tried this place.

The location is right next to the Metro Raymond Station, I mistake park in the Pasadena City one but quickly switch to the another one. They validated parking but will only gave you extra 30 minutes extra. We ended up paying $2 for the parking since we stay there for little bit over 2 hours. While we waiting, we get to sample their famous cookies. I do not find too special and tasted like you find those in the supermarket. Nothing beat grandmother cookies.

The décor is very dark and dimmed; it is more idea for romance then for family. The customer server was good for the most part. The dineLA menu was a lot of choice, between 3 to 4 different items per course. There was some item were running out like the Prime Ribs and Red Velvet Cake, the Prime Ribs was upgraded to Ribeye with bone instead, which is an awesome deal. We try several items, and found that their house special deviled eggs were not good at all, but their salad was good. One of my friend order the salmon and was huge portion and tasted delicious, the rest of our group got the Ribeye and was very satisfied. The dessert was also excellent, I like the fact they put a scoop of ice cream that was not mention in the menu. The chocolate cake was very rich flavor.

Sometime be late might get you at better deal is true in this case, $25 dineLA was the best value of the four I had try, it is the only dinner in DineLA I Did. But will coming back here at some other time. Yelper got this one right.

So I woke up with a brunch slash bottomless mimosas craving this morning and decided to message some of my favorite peoples to join in on my brunch adventure. We decided to hit up La grande orange cafe. I was actually a little stoked because I have wanted to try this place out for some time. I even had this spot bookmarked!

For a group of 5 of us, there was like a 5 minute wait (first big =). The hostess was very pleasant and kindly sat us in our desired place. We were quickly asked by another waitress [who wasn't our own] if we'd like to start off with any beverages while we looked over the menus. (Can I just point out how great that is? The fact that a different server went and got our drinks started while our server finished what she needed, so we wouldn't be waiting like wth?) Maybe like 3 minutes later, our round of bottomless mimosas were in our hands and our waitress came over and introduced herself and asked if we wanted to start off with any appetizers. We already knew what we wanted to order so that part went fast. Although not all of us ordered entrees, the waitress was nice enough to wait for all of our food to be ready before bringing out our feast.

What we ordered:

Queenie I: [Ingo's Short Rib Hash] - potato . onion . carrot . 2 eggs over easy . our housemade english muffin [$16]

James B: [Grilled Ahi Tuna] - sushi-grade ahi . grilled rare . kale salad or heirloom cannellini beans . guacamole [$21]

Gary G: [ChilaQuiles] baked tortillas . chicken . cheese . eggs . jalapenos . ranchero sauce . salsa verde [$15]

Michael V: [Guacamole and Chips] charred tomato salsa . all housemade [$10]

Christian M & the rest of us: [Bottomless Mimosas]

So we all agreed that my entree was not only the best tasting but also price to portion ratio. The chilaquiles were yummy but we were expecting a teensy bit more. But! the waitress was very nice to bring over an extra side of corn tortillas. :) The Grilled Ahi Tuna was definitely yummy but could've had more because in a blink of an eye, James swallowed his meal lol. Last but not least, the chips and guac were very yummy. And coincidentally enough, it paired ahhhhmazing with my short rib hash. Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed not just our meals and drank, but our entire experience here at LGO.

Thank you LGO for serving as the perfect spot for our UYE Brunch Adventure Ch. 1 :) oh yeah and for the cookies at the end!!

*bottomless mimosas til 3pm!!
*valet parking available
*yummy sea salt and chocolate chip cookies while you wait and/or leave

As usual, I was very hangry (hungry + angry for those who don't know) after my work out and wanted brunch. My friend and I came in and was told there was a 30 minute wait. I was contemplating leaving until a host offered me a complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookies while I wait. I immediately planted my butt down and enjoyed the most delicious free cookie I've had to date.

The service is great. Out waiter was nice and attentive. We ordered 2 cups of coffee and they came in a French press. It was quite delicious.

My friend ordered the eggs benedict along with a side of grilled vegetables. She liked her dish but the side of vegetables was kind of a waste of money. Her small plate came with nothing but roasted squash and cost $4.

I had the brussel sprouts salad. It was light and healthy. It wasn't too flavorful but I did enjoy it. I also ordered a side of their homemade English Muffins. That was definitely the best part of my meal.

There is parking next to the restaurant in the structure. The first 90 minutes is free and it's $2 per hour after that.

Mmmm I was craving some prime rib for my birthday, and I chose this place. I was expecting some pretty decent quality food, since the pricing is a bit higher. They did not disappoint. Apparently, I came on a good day too, because Mondays and Tuesdays are buy one entree, get the second one for $5. I didn't even know! I don't know if the waitress would have told us or not if I didn't ask about any birthday specials. But either way, I enjoyed my dinner there.

The prime rib was nice and tender, and it was huge. Probably at least over 1 lb. The horseradish complimented it well. It brings out the taste that much more.

I also tried the Grilled Salmon. It was not dried up, surprisingly. A lot of places I've tried overcooked the salmon. This was just right. Came with a lemon if you wanted to make it tastier.

The meatloaf was nice and soft. I usually don't like meatloaf, but their was not bad at all. I wonder what kind of seasoning they put into it.

All dishes came with mash potatoes. They serve beer and wine as well. Beers are around $7-$8 for each draft.

Valet parking in front for $6, or park in the parking structure next to it for free for the first 90 mins. $2 every 30 mins after, up to $6 max per day. Get validation from the restaurants.

90 minutes free parking garage next door, so skip the valet !
La Grande also give you and extra 30 minutes free for validation.

Try their deviled eggs, very good.

Their vegetable taco dish is drenched with oil, so counteract if you opted for something healthy and pretty much is just as heavy.

we had a chocolate cache' for dessert ( do not get this ) it had a weird texture for dessert and was pretty much like a dried piece of chocolate cake with a small scoop of ice cream on the side.

if you order their gelato ice-cream (pretty much just ice cream and added the gelato to sound fancy ) make sure to ask for diced cherries because literally that was what made the ice cream tasted yummy.

Service was actually not bad, he was very attentive and kind to everyone.

Came here for the second time and enjoyed it as much as the first...although, weekend dinner's bill almost came out double! La Grande Orange Cafe has great Happy Hour, plus deals on dinner on Monday and Tuesday: buy one entree, get the second for $5 from 4pm till close.

Happy Hours M-F :
3-7pm (1/2 sangria, margarita)

$5 well
1/2 beer
$4 Chardonnay , $4 cabarnet

Recommendations:
Short ribs (entree or tacos) - Meat literally falls off
Prime rib - juicy and tender, plus!
Deviled eggs - good but not outstanding
White sangria - refreshing and delicious, get the pitcher! (4-6 glasses)

The portions here are generous and switching out sides should be no problems!

Parking:
Metro parking - 90mins free, plus extra 30mins if you validate. $2 for two hours after the first two hours.
Street - Meter

Overall, it's a great relax restaurant with the ambiance of a large bungalow. Can't wait to try their Sunday's brunch!

This restaurant is in walking distance to the Metro Rail Station - Gold Line. It's also connected to the Luggage Room with the outdoor patio separating both spaces. .

Although I would like to give this restaurant more stars, my past experiences here have not been the greatest. The service lacked any personality and friendliness.

I did enjoy my deviled eggs. And the only thing I really liked about this place is their infamous homemade English muffins.

The last time I dined there, my wife and I sat by the kitchen and I had a full view of the kitchen and the prep area for the staff. It's an open space and it's really sad that I can hear the wait staff complaining about their customers.

The service we had that evening was horrible. We're right there in front where the server can see us and after we were seated, we waited and waited and waited just to put in our order. Then on top of that, the server took forever to bring our food and refill our water.

Yeah, I don't think I'll be back any time soon.

Great pasadena restaurant in a historic old train station building that was tastefully updated! My favorites here are the grilled tuna burger or any of their tacos!
