There is always something going on to get you into trouble here. A bunch of shopping, some chain stores, some one off locations; great bars; great restaurants; some crappy ones ... Read more
too, but so what... mostly fun stuff over in Old Town Pas. Pro Tip: Parking at a meter after 8pm is free Sun-Th. There are literally a ton of restaurants, shops, and whatevers here that you can imagine. I am just happy that there are not any of those third street promenade/fishermans wharf side shows here. Its essentially just all the good stuff without the super touristy crazy feel. Pro Tip #2: The city parking structures are free for an hour and a half =) This is one of the few places that I can truly enjoy a pub crawl or restaurant crawl. There are some great options for both and the area is not covered in folks from Wisconsin or Ohio except for during the Rose Bowl when one or the other teams is playing. I love the local feel to the area. It is nice to run into all kinds of friends as well. Its nice that the area also has a nice park, an ice skating rink, a mall, a movie theater. Its more a question of what doesnt this area have. Ohhhh and dont forget the taco trucks at night. I am telling ya, there is some great stuff happening over in this area... check it out =)

I love old town Pasadena! They have stores along Colorado, lots of restaurants, bars, and some lounges. The architecture is great around there too.

Always a good time out in old town pasadena!

There's great shopping for the daytime with great stores for men and women. You know it's a pretty affluent area when they have an apple store on the street right next to a Tiffany's.

There's been a revival of restaurants opening up there lately with an 85c and an Umami burger as well. Don't be afraid to venture off the main road (Colorado) as well since there are some great places one or two streets over like Slaters 50/50 (bacon beef burgers!).

It's a great place to grab some food and maybe even go clubbing or bar hopping afterwards. There's something for everyone in old town!

Old Town Pasadena is a fantastic family destination with tons of shopping, restaurants and movie theater that'll keep everyone entertained. There is plenty of street parking and three parking structures so you can park your car and stroll along Colorado to take in all the retailers. In the evening, there are several bars and restaurants for the nightlife crowd.

Old Town Pasadena is a relaxing place to walk, shop, read a book and eat great food. You can easily spend a day in this area.. For desserts don't forget to stop by 21 Choices ice cream joint! Parking can be confusing, reserve a discounted spot in advance here: http://www.parkme.com/pasadena-ca-parking/old-town-pasadena

Old Town Pasadena is a successful American story of a small town able to turn around after 50 years of weak downtown innovation. It was not until the 90's that a major revival began. Before that, there were mostly warehouses and local shops that did not attract out of town visitors. The city's desire is time to improve the old town, by attracting many outside businesses, except fast food franchises, to open up in Old Town; It was a home run, that's for sure. However, what do locals get out of this? The same failed school system, a high crime rate and high housing costs.

Parking problems are no doubt the #1 issue here. Any street costs money to park in Old Town, the only way to avoid it is to go to the 3 public structures which validate for up to 90 minutes free parking. There is almost no underground parking structure despite the need for one.

This town has more gastropubs than a typical family restaurant. No doubt, it is a great place for young and middle age couples to hang out in. Alhambra's recently improved Main Street is their direct competition as is Glendale and Montrose, which offers many similar restaurants, though less selection, but it is less crowded and most importantly, much easier to find parking in. Many of its buildings are historic and in surprisingly good shape. There are also a good number of semi high-end restaurants and shops here.

Old Town Pasadena is a wonderful way to escape the more central part of LA for a day. Most people come here to stroll along Colorado Ave. and shop and eat, but there are also some great museums in the area (like the Pacific Asia Museum) and some grassy parks. The best situation for Parking is at the Park & Walk Garages, where the first 90 minutes are free.

Old Town Pasadena was a great place to visit. I went for my first time during one of its free music festivals and it was packed with people! But I really enjoyed the vibe of the buildings and the shops there. I tried out Hot Wings the Restaurant there (not bad, but I still prefer Wingstop more), a clothes store that you could sell you clothes to and buy clothes from (which I thought was super unique and will be willing to try out one day) and a large forever 21 (pretty organized compared to other stores) just down the street.

I come here every once in a while to enjoy the monthly artwalks. They have nice little alleyways and hole in the wall places. Just make sure to find parking because you will get ticketed if you tend to forget to feed your meter. The upsides is that there are alot of little shops to go to without having to drive from place to place.

Can get really crowded on the weekends, but there's lots to do here. I'm not much of a shopper, but there's H&M, the Apple Store, Forever 21, Tiffany & Co, Diesel, and other stuff. The restaurant selection is pretty good: Tibet Nepal, Pop Champagne Bar, Haven Gastropub, Cafe Bizou, Gyukaku, Scarlet Tea Room, Chado, Mi Piace, and on and on. Further down the street arebthe Audi/Porsche/Rolls-Royce dealerships.

There's a few select parking garages, which may or may not offer an hour and a half free parking, before tacking on fees.

Old Town looks great and has some good shopping and restaurants. Some of the businesses have been moving out though, so the things I've liked have disappeared.

Old Town Pasadena is really nice but it doesn't offer anything you can't find in Hollywood or in the other areas of L.A like the Grove. But for those who want to get away from L.A, Pasadena is a nice place to visit. There are lots of shops and restaurants.

STORES I LOVE:
Victoria's Secret, H&M, Forever 21, Sephora, Container Store, Blick Art Supplies, Chado Tea Room, Luxe Hair Salon (My hair person is here! Michelle B!), Crossroads Clothing, Dots Cupcakes, Bar Method, Lush, Romantix, MAC, SugarFix, Urban Outfitters, Zara, Barney's, Brothers Pies and Fries, Cafe Bizou, Dog Haus, Saladish, La Grande Orange, and a bunch others.

Great place to shop and eat.

Lots of coffee shops! :D
