This bar has some pretty good craft beers and their house red wine is solid. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends. A casual bar and drink prices are average.

The Blind Donkey is a nice little bar to grab a drink or few with friends. It has a nice cozy little feel. Unlike the other bars on Colorado, this place is much smaller and has a few games you can play to pass the time with the friends you came with or the ones you'll meet there.

The Blind Donkey is a fantastic bar in Old Town Pasadena. On Unions Street, the Blind Donkey is not as packed as the other bars on Colorado, which makes for a more comfortable evening. In addition, to great service, the Blind Donkey has fun bar games for your to enjoy some friendly competition with your friends.

One of my girlfriends and I explored Old Town Pasadena recently and The Blind Donkey was one on the list.
We came in around 8ish on a Thursday and it wasn't too crowded, which I like. We were able to snag seats at the bar.

Our bartender was really attentive and made sure we were taken care of.
I had an Old Fashioned made with Templeton Rye and friend had a 2oz Bookers whiskey.
I love how drinks were served with a big sphere of ice.
They have a pretty big selection of scotch and whiskey, totally my type of bar.

The atmosphere at the Blind Donkey is really chill. It's a great place to grab a drink with friend (s).
They also made a bunch of tables including communal tables as well.

GREAT place for happy hour! The drinks are good, strong, and fairly priced during happy hour. I got the old fashioned, which was 6 bucks and really strong and good. My friend got the Nick of Thyme, really good and refreshing. The bar looks really nice and there are a few statues of donkeys that are blindfolded (hence the name). They have a couple food items with fries. We go the pizza fries and it was great!

Some day I need to make it here for HH or for grub... as it is, I always seem to be here near the end of the night. It is always a fun joint though...

They have a very helpful menu and on it they list a number of Whiskeys, Bourbons, Scotches, etc. Definitely a packed joint and a fun time. If you can get a table, I suggest that you do it. They have a single roving waitress but it always seems faster to walk up to the bar and get served that way.

I find myself gravitating to a few new items here as I can see what all is on the list. I Know they have beer as well if your not into the hard stuff, but I prefer the hard stuff that they have here. Be careful though, they will run out of bourbon balls and need to substitute rocks sometimes. I hate that part, but none the less this place is rocken...

Some of the good stuff is a bit pricier than I would like. But the bartenders are helpful and they have multiple options for what you order. They are also paying attention to the crowd and will help you even if you are a row or two back. That is some great service compared to many of the places around.

Overall i enjoy this venue quite a bit and it is one of the better whiskey bars that I have found in Pasadena and it is the best in Old Town that I have been to. Hit it up for a good time. I would be shocked if you left here unhappy with your night...

If Pasadena were my neighborhood, this would be my joint.

DRINKS: Whiskey, whiskey, and more whiskey. And a decent selection of craft beer... on draft!
FOOD: Simple, delicious food menu of burgers and fries loaded with a variety of toppings. The thick-cut garlic parmesan fries came with heaps of garlic*, and envious glances from nearby patrons. Get a side of jalapeno ranch sauce for an extra kick!
SERVICE: Bartenders were super friendly, and it was almost like we were just hanging out at our apartment with our BFFs. At one point, Penny busted out her phone and entertained us with hilarious clips from the Tonight Show.
ENTERTAINMENT: A couple TVs by the bar that features local sports teams, and a near-defunct mini shuffleboard table.

But the BESTEST part about the Blind Donkey is their happy hour!
Weedays 4-7 pm
Weekends 1-5 pm
$4 draft beer
$4 well drinks
$6 cheddar burger (comes with fries!) but only for Happy Hour Week

Not only is it cheaper and tastier than eating fast food, but it comes with beer. Need I say more?

Blind Monkey?!

donkey, monkey - potato, patato ...i kept giving my friends the wrong name but thankfully the name of this location was unique enough to figure out where they were going!

pub known for their whiskeys. So Whiskey lovers this might be a cool dig to check out, if not for the drinks for its unique name!
Simple . not a lot of space to sit unless you come early enough to occupy..
One restroom each for women and men. Not sure how bad it can get when its a busy night!

The bar is right next to Slater's 50/50. You cannot miss it if you're on Union st. You'll see this big red door with a bouncer sitting outside checking IDs before letting peeps in.

Great, great experience. There were a lot of whiskey's to choose from and I was overwhelmed! If you're a whiskey drinker, you should know NOT to down your drink or be taking them as shots right? Else.. what's the point of whiskey tasting?I was a little disappointed seeing some people ordering their Flights (which are 3 shots of variety of whiskey) for $10 and using them as shots. :( that's just sad. I thought you're suppose to enjoy it not just get f..ed up before you get the chance to try the other kinds of dranks.

Ordered..
Four Roses Cask Strength Single Barrel
- smelled like honey but did not taste like it. Ha, that fooled me. The boyfriend liked it more than I did.

Butler's Old Fashioned
- cannot complain about how strong it was, but I was able to taste the mixture of an old fashion. Not bad.

Crowd and seatings?
- There's bar seating and table seats. I guess first come, first serve! There are snacks to order, but all orders are taken at the bar but they will deliver your food to your table.

Games?
- Shuffle board and chest painted on some tables! Just make sure to grab the pieces from the bar.Or ask them for it.
