Ideally look what is showing on at the theatre before your arrival as the plays do get booked out. Fantastic location - breath taking.

Always worth a visit, whatever the show! The views across to Logan Rock are impressive and you can watch the sun going down over the sea as the fishing boats float by. Dolphins and seals are often seen.

A fantastic experience. Visit during the day and tour the amphitheatre or better still go and watch a show. To get the full experience its suggested you turn up an hour or so before 'curtain up.'Take your picnic hamper with you and maybe a bottle of 'bubbles.' Take a jacket and a cushion with you. It cools down as the sun sets and your posterior will appreciate the pillow. Check out their web page for dates of the productions.

Porthcurno has a beautiful, tranquil, white sandy beach & just up from that is the famous Minack Theatre.

The open air Minack Theatre is set into the cliffs at Porthcurnow. The programme for summer 2017 includes many classic titles and popular favourites, some performed in traditional style, others with an inventive new twist on a familiar story.

One of the must do experiences in Cornwall. Where else do you experience such natural theatre surrounds with the sea and sunset as the backdrop! The Minack is a wonderful venue for Shakespeare and the production is good too. Do bring some blankets or cushion, sitting on grass all night is not good for the bum!

An open-air, classical style theatre made out of white rocks, set on top of a cliff, with beautiful surrounding views – what’s not to love? The Minack Theatre is worth a visit even if you’re not going to see a performance (or can’t afford to), as the site is pretty and the amphitheatre interesting. Behind the Minack Theatre you can join a cliff path, with views down to the stunning Porthcurno bay.

The most fabulous outdoor theatre with breathtaking views. A full programme of shows between May and September and tropical gardens to enjoy. The beach below is pretty special, especially at low tide when the turquoise water reveals its white sand.

This open air theatre is one of the top must see attractions in the whole of Cornwall! Shows run from March until September, but the rest of the time the theatre is open for visits. The show I saw here was incredible, and was made even more special by the unique venue. The play began when the sun was still up, but during the performance the sun set which made everything so atmospheric. If going take quite a few layers of clothing because even in the summer it can get really cold, and also be prepared for rain.

During the Summer months book a show, take a blanket and a picnic and enjoy performances from local productions through to the RSC. Sometimes difficult to keep your eyes on the artists when there is such a wonderful backdrop of aqua marine water and white sand and the occasional dolphin pod.

So, if you happen to be living along the Cornwall coast in 1929 and some folks were talking about watching a spot of theatre, your next logical step, of course, would be to hand-carve an open-air theatre with your gardener. Eighty-some-odd years later, the theatre is still going strong.

Between June and Sept, the theatre puts on a performance almost every night. You can visit during the day year-round, including the beautiful English gardens.
