Chris Bianco flat knows how to make a pizza. Fresh everything, except aged Pam. There, I've said it. That's all you need to know.

We came here for lunch on a Tuesday. We came right when it opened so it was not packed and we didn't have to wait. The pizza came out so very quickly once we ordered it! We got the Margarita and Rosa pizza. I personally loved the Rosa pizza with pistachio! There was a good mix of sweet and salty taste to it that made me love it! If you're in Phoenix, this place is a must stop!

Very good pizza and salads with unique ingredients...very cute inside too. Not your typical pizzeria you'll be pleasantly surprised.

This world-famous place is awesome for pizza. Chris Bianco, a personal chef occasionally for Jimmy Kimmel, is the owner.

We love the pizza just be aware you will sometimes wait an hour or two to get a table. There is a place next door to have wine and another restaurant across from Bianco's to enjoy more dining but not pizza. Great place to relax and meet people while waiting.

Pizza, bread and salads superb. No reservations are accepted on the weekend but we went early, around 5pm and got right in. We tried four of the six pizzas on the menu. Loved them all, loved the marinara best.

If you decide to go to this award winning Pizzeria be prepared to spend a few hours before being seated and getting your food.

Their pizza is routinely rated the best in the nation.

What a charming location!
Went in the evening when the place was alit with glowing orange hued lights. It is on a campus along with a couple of other restaurants Nobou and Rose & Crown making it a quiet place to dine outdoors.
Pizza was outstanding. I had an organic greens salad and Margarita Pizza with olives.
The services was extremely friendly as well.

Fantastic! We had a half sonny boy and half wise guy. We just spent a week in Italy and this was exactly like they served in Rome, Florence and Venice. Was worried about finding a long wait but we got there at noon on a Saturday and got right in. The valet service was also phenomenal! We left our car there while we went to the science center for 4 hours. This place is the complete package!

Super long wait to get in, but consistently voted among the best pizzerias in the country. Wood fired pizza.

Try the pistachio pizza. Really great place. We got there a few minutes before opening so there wasn't a wait!

On the hunt for restaurants in downtown Phoenix fit for foodies, I came upon Pizzeria Bianco. This small brick walled restaurant was located adjacent to the Phoenix Science Center and just minutes walking distance from the 3rd Street & Washington METRO station. It's internationally famous for its owner, Chef Chris Bianco, who won a James Beard award for best chef in the Southwest region in 2003.

I came for lunch on a weekday and there was no wait. I got lucky, as many reviews of this restaurant stated much frustration over 1 to 2 hour wait times for a seat. Best time to go? When the restaurant opens for lunch if you can make it. Be prepared to wait otherwise.

I shared a Wiseguy pizza made with house smoked mozzarella, wood-roasted onion, and local-made Schreiner's fennel sausage. Although I thought the pizza could use some kind of sauce, I really liked the taste and texture of the pizza crust! Here, pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired open kitchen hearth, which can be seen from any table inside the restaurant. The edges of the pizza crust were a tad ashy, but overall, the crust had a nice bite to it - chewy, yet slightly crispy. It tasted more like bread. Solid, not wet or soggy.

Cost: $18. One size, 6 slices per pie.

Recommended, but may not be worth the 2 hour wait.

Believe the hype. Wait in line.

And you will be awarded with the BEST tasting pizza outside of Italy (and arguably New York). It's THAT good because they put so much attention, detail, passion and love into their pizzas. They only use one type of tomato imported from Italy and they house-make their ricotta and mozzarella. People who usually don't eat the crust will eat everything off the pan.

I suggest going with their classic margherita and biancoverde!

I hear if you come here during peak times you can end up waiting an hour or more. I showed up for lunch on a Friday and was seated in 10 minutes. Pizzeria bianco won a James Beard award in 2003, and being within walking distance from my hotel, had to five it a try.

I ended up ordering a half Sonny Boy and half Rosso. Ingredients were superb, and you could tell the
