A resort town with excellent shopping, a long beach, restaurants and cafes. Lots of activities throughout the year from carnaval, craft fairs, drawing fairs, children's activities etc etc. www.platjadaro.com

Smack dab in the middle of the Costa Brava shoreline is the town of Platja d'Aro. This is a bustling city full of cafes, shopping streets and beachfront hotels. If you only have a few days to spend on the coast, Platja d'Aro is an accessible choice that provides all the amenities of a city while still having a breezy beach-town vibe.

Platja d’Aro has a privileged coasts perimeter. It is possible to choose from the most crowded and popular beaches, perfectly equipped with all the services that suit all kind of visitors, especially those who look for calmer and flat waters with fine sand beaches. The two most recognized are the beach Sa Conca and Platja d’Aro.
Another tempting alternative are the coves, tranquil spots surrounded with nature, like the coves of Pedrosa, Rovira or Vilaret. A very good option to admire the beauty of the sceneries is take a walk along a coastal footpath lightly elevated that goes from the cove Rovira up to the Calonge beach.
