Portland is an eclectic city, filled with artists and activists and one of the best public transportation systems in the country. Rose gardens, vinyl, microbrews and coffee are all done to perfection, not to mention the city is one of the 'greenest' in the nation. legal in Oregon.) Portland has recently earned a national reputation for its restaurant scene, complemented by its placement at the intersection of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers -- near countless wineries and organic farms. Get outdoors at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park, popular with bikers, joggers, and lovers of unique, often odd sculptures. On the south side of the city, Washington Park and the International Rose Test Garden are great places to relax and get reunited with nature. A thoroughly indie, DIY culture incubates bands like the Decemberists and novelists like Chuck Palahniuk. IFC (Independent Film Channel) is now in the act, with a show called Portlandia, about living in the nation's most idealistic eco-hip city. Go see what everyone is raving about and come to Portland.

I’m from Portland but don’t live there anymore! I always try and travel up there when given the opportunity as there is SO MUCH to see. City is easy to navigate and 1.5 hours from the beach, or a few more to the high desert. Art, food, Coffee and beautiful scenery are just part of everyday Portland life! Easy place to fall in love. To beat the rain head there anytime from June to September and make sure to stop at The Rose Test Gardens and grab brunch in a Brunch loving city!

Portlan is an amazing city and the people are easy going and helpful. I took my girlfriend there to visit and we had so much fun. I wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. There are lots of breweries and great places to eat if your a foodie. Definitely will be back to try more of there beers and more food.

Portland is an eclectic city with various neighborhoods ranging from dirty to clean and slightly posh, never as fancy as other US cities, Portland has its own special vibe. The rose city, there are many flowers and blossoms and it is truly a culinary city full of delicious food from independent restaurants and chains alike.

one city that you will never forget. Unique identity with water ways surrounding it. Very hilly and to the casual observer will remind you of San Francisco, but don’t be mistaken has its own character. Filled with organic, vegetarian, and vegan options, Portland is a hipster’s paradise. You might even get asked what type of alternative milk you want at one of the city’s many coffee shops. Great grunge music scene as well.

Portland is truly an amazing little city. It has a small town feel with a lot of real estate - tons of delicious food, craft breweries, excellent coffee, and plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities around the city. But if hiking isn't your thing, you could spend days on end just eating your way through Portland. Oh, and Powell's Books could (should) take up at least one full day of your time here.

I love the feel and vibe of Portland, especially the areas we were in...downtown, the Alberta Arts district, and the area around Mt.Tabor Park and Division Street. They have a sense of cultural and societal awareness that you don't find in a lot of other cities. What I don't like is that the highways around downtown always seemed to be congested and backed up, sometimes for miles.

About a nine minute drive from Gladstone. Many waterfront stores and biking trails. Watch a famous play in Arlene Schnitzer Hall. Stop by the legendary Voodoo doughnuts and pick up a few. Enjoy Sushi or seafood in one of our many fantastic Grills. Portland is well known for it's Micro Brews which offers many different selections to chose from. The Beauty of the lights and bridges of Portland at night can be breathtaking.
