Excellent high end restaurant. It's tiny, so make sure to get reservations. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can watch the chefs work.

One of the best restaurants in town. Be ready to drop over $100 because it will be worth it!

Expensive, but very good. The beef cheeks were the best!
Seating is communal so don't expect you're own table.

It's hard for me NOT to give this place five stars simply based on the fact that they fed me foie gras when I was deprived, thanks to California law.

But thinking more objectively, I enjoyed my dim, romantic meal at Le Pigeon. It's a small restaurant with a limited menu, but what they do serve is high quality. I still think about those foie gras profiteroles nearly a year and a half after I visited.

Make reservations well in advance. This place is terrible for groups.

We were actually able to get a table for two when we walked in one day, but it is highly recommended that you make reservations. Foie all the things. California put a ban, and so we fled to another state where serving foie isn't a problem. In fact, at Le Pigeon that one evening, they had foie in every course, so we ordered all those courses (yes, even dessert!).

The food here is spectacular, as is the service. Highly recommend for those who love a great meal.

Since moving back to Portland about a year ago, Le Pigeon is where I've enjoyed one of my best meals. Spot on, sophisticated meals. But, rumor has it they serve one of the best burgers in town, too.

One of the best restaurants in Portland and walking distance from the Inn. Eclectic food at its best.

Easily the best place in town. This French inspired restaurant has a constantly changing seasonal menu. The open kitchen provides you with a mini show of sorts watching the chefs prepare the unique and interesting dishes served here. They defiinitely aren't afraid to experiment.

Carnivores and adventurous eaters will appreciate chef Gabriel Rucker’s creations, which add whimsy and decadence to traditional French recipes. Beef-cheek bourguignonne, rabbit-in-a-pig-blanket, and foie gras profiteroles are among the quirky edibles. The chef’s counter puts diners ringside in the busy kitchen, and the brick-wall dining room’s three communal tables are often filled with both locals and international clientele. Le Pigeon’s first cookbook comes out in September 2013—for you try-it-at-home types.

This is one of the best dining experiences you can have in Portland. The restaurant is really quaint, so I would advise recommendations or be prepared to sit at the bar. I sat at the bar and loved it because I was able to see my food being prepared. The chefs are extremely skilled and serve some amazing dishes that are robust in flavor. I would recommend asking your server for recommendations because they are amazing at it. You will not be disappointed with anything on this menu.

Le Pigeon is a popular French restaurant in Portland. They often change up the menu, but the quality is consistently great. Le Pigeon serves traditional French food, and while the prices aren't cheap, you get your money's worth due to their generous portions and excellent dishes. I tried the rabbit and foie gras, and they were both delicious! If you're coming on a busy night, please make sure you make reservations. Seating is very limited.

Excellent food in Gabriel Rucker's famous restaurant. Here you will find slightly-off-the-beaten-path versions of classic dishes, like crepes made with nettles, beef bourguignon made with beef cheeks, and foie gras profiteroles with caramel sauce and sea salt for dessert.
