Informative and fun for the whole family! I went to two of the concerts for the summer concert series last year and had a blast.

What a great Zoo. The landscape was beautiful and the variety of animals was great. I enjoyed visiting Nora the Polar Bear and riding the train even though it was a short ride. The kids will love the petting zoo also.

I love the zoo! It makes me feel like a little kid again. This one is pretty educational and has a neato elephant preservation thing.

Great zoo! Parking can be challenging but they refund a MAX ticket. Also in a great location being in Washington Park so you can take park transportation to several other attractions.

I loveee Portland Zoo! Although it's always a good idea to take a rain jacket since it does rain often.

Oregon Zoo is fantastic and would have five starts except for parking on busy days.

This is the most beautiful zoo I have ever gone to, and I'm not a fan of zoos because I feel sorry for the animals. In the summer there is music in the zoo which is super fun, and the elevation makes summer days a bit cooler up there. The trees provide shade and the animals actually seem well cared for. It is absolutely worth a visit. When you are up there you can visit the Japanese Gardens and the Pittock mansion, or if you have young children the Children's Museum is right there.

I didn't rate this zoo very highly, For its size there aren't actually that many animals in it and there is a lot of walking through empty woodland which, although pretty, is not what you pay to see in a zoo. Some of the enclosures are large and generous to the animals, such as the new elephants area, but others seem small and unkind, such as the polar bears. Food options in the park are limited and expensive so bring your own.

Nice variety of animals, yet still small enough to explore most of the exhibits within a day or two. Large and natural habitats for the animals, but close enough for visitors to enjoy and appreciate the animals.

This is a really lovely zoo. If you get there early it is quite peaceful. We managed to go through in just a few hours and saw almost everything we wanted ( the elephants weren't out) the train is a hit with younger kids and the holiday Zoolights are really really fun and well worth a trip.

Absolutely crazy about the zoo. The layout is perfect and they are constantly updating to make your experience even better. With deals like 2 dollar Tuesday's, where entry is only 2 dollars, it can be a very fun and cost effective experience for someone of any age.

Oregon Zoo is a great family activity for the family. There's constant improvements being made. We were only separated from two cheetahs by the display glass. From big game to bugs the animal kingdom is well represented.

One of the friendliest and most personal zoo's around, everybody loves and knows the animals by name and comes to their parties. Zoo conference centers is one of the best kept secrets for 500 or fewer participants. Zoo lights just adds fun in the winter.

If you like zoos, the Oregon Zoo is particularly good. Strong focus on the Northwest and sustainability. Located in Washington Park, which is also worth spending time in.

Formerly the Washington Park Zoo, the Oregon Zoo is a 64-acre sanctuary for animals from across the planet. They are well-known for their elephant breeding program and are considered the world's most successful such program within a zoo. They also have birds of prey shows, summer camps, an annual summer concert series, and a winter "zoo lights" Christmas light show.

It's a beautiful zoo with lots of exhibits and places to venture. It's always pleasantly crowded, so it's not insanely packed nor empty. I really enjoyed the aquariums and polar bear exhibit, and there's a large park area for picnics and enjoying the sun. For food, I had my first elephant ears here (deep-fried dough with cinnamon and sugar) and they're really good. Other items are reasonably pricey but nothing unaffordable. Make sure to come with family and friends, it's especially great for children!
