bohemia, and possibly the good-luck plaque at the 16th statue (in the sequence of 30 on the bridge). Maybe there is something to it; the bridge was laid under superstitious circumstances, at a precise date and time (believed to be lucky-- Year 1357, July 9 at 5:31 pm), and it has withstood the ages, invasions and wars. Find street performers, salesmen, and a pleasant view of the city and Prague Castle from this iconic eastern European landmark.

Never ever take time from your trip to visit it. Only if you walking through. Too many tourists on this place. Good enough to take a look once and never get back here again...

The Charles Bridge is a nice bridge to walk along, but it is jam-packed with tourists, artists, and groups. I would rather look at it from afar but walking it is something you must do if you're in Prague.

Beautiful bridge! I believe here you also have you touch some metal sculpture that everyone else has made shiny.

Overall, this is on most people's list when visiting Prague/Praha.

Pro tip: Avoid the summer crowds and go late Autumn/ early winter.
It will be dreary/raining but less crowded.
If you go during peak times, they recommend early mornings.

As part of most old town tours, this bridge connect Old Town with Mala Strana.

The bridge is mostly free to walk across. On the Old Town side, you can pay to climb up on one of its towers. I think it was several euros.

When I went it was drizzling and cold (around 50 degrees F), so
other than large groups of tourist, it was partially crowded.

Overall, it is free and part of most walking tours, so it is worth a visit.

A lot of art and music on the bridge, stunning views and food on each side, including trdlnik. Can be very crowded but it is worth it! The history connected with this bridge is amazing and everything is beautifully built.

The Charles Bridge is a must see while in Prague. If you have Rick Steves book, he gives an excellent description of all of the statues along the bridge that really adds value to your stroll.

Most famous bridge in Prague. Wonderful to stroll along and listen to the buskers. Looks beautiful at night. Great views from both gate towers.

The Charles Bridge is a famous historic bridge that crosses the Vltara River in Prague, Czech Republic. The Charles Bridge was the most important connection between Prague Castle and the city's Old Town and adjacent areas. This"solid-land" connecction made Pragueimportant as a trade route between Eastern and Western Europe.

One of the most famous sights in Prague and it is clear to see why. Everything from the approach, the cobbles, the gate tower and the statues are interesting and fascinating to look at. The bridge gets very busy so beware pushy tourists but there are some great artists selling their paintings and handicrafts along the bridge.
