Lovely little Kampa Island sits next to the Charles Bridge in Prague. It's a wonderful place to stroll and pull away from the busy city streets of Prague.

Situated on the west bank of the Vltava, this island (only due to a canal cut on the far side) is where the Charles Bridge makes landfall and is worth a visit. Home to some pleasant gardens, riverside walks and the bizarre statue of crawling babies this is a nice place to stroll after lunch or en route to one of the nearby sights such as the Kafka Museum or Prague Castle.

Beautiful little island under one of Prague's historical bridges. Well worth visiting, especially if you are in the city in the spring.

A great part of Prague and not to be missed. Beautiful historical buildings, a park and museum along the river. You will also have a nice view to the Charles Bridge.

The ultimate picnic spot in Prague, Kampa is located next to the Vltava River in the Mala Strana neighborhood. It's not big, but the park offers a wide grassy area to relax, plus examples of Czech artist David Cerny's work (the bizarre babies, you can't miss them!). Also in the neighborhood is the Kampa Museum showing the work of 20th century Czech artists, plus as you walk out of the garden towards the Charles Bridge you'll find restaurants and cafes for a bite to eat and some people watching on the square.

Kampa is a beautiful neighborhood of Prague and it's also known as "the Venice of Prague". The great park is a perfect place to relax after a long day of sighseeing/shopping :) and it's located directly at the banks of the Moldau, so you'll have an awesome view over the Charles Bridge and the Old Town of Prague

A beautiful place to picnic, stroll, play, or just relax - read, sunbathe, cuddle your lover...it's the perfect park setting, between the river and a canal/stream and secluded from the throngs of people swarming between the Castle Quarter and the bridge. I was here in September and the weather was to die for, so eating my market-purchased fruit beneath the shade of the trees, watching the river sparkle, was intoxicating.

Kampa Island is located adjacent to the Vltava River. It is marked by strange statues of faceless babies and a cool graffiti tagged wall. Otherwise, there's a nice tranquil area to chill and relax.

My two favorite parts of Kampa island were the eclectic Kafka Museum and Kampa Park restaurant which was fantastic. Also lots of cool street to walk around and great views.

The island is best when there is a music festival taking place. Nice views on the water, a relaxing park, and some more upscale hotels and dining in the area.
