I had a great time at Annie Brownell's house where I stayed for 3 nights. Breakfasts consist of yogurt, fresh fruits, toasts, just what I have at home. You will likely share breakfast with other people, great if you enjoy, like me, stimulating conversations. The breakfasts lasted for way over one hour in my case -- I had lost of interactions with other guests. You might make friends! The house 100+ years old, very well kept and comfy, and is walking distance to Brown University. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Annie is a great host.

Run by the hard working and kind Annie Brownell, this B&B offers guests a chance to stay on the Eastside in a comfy and personal setting. With an uber traditional charm and homey feel, the flowers on the front porch will set the tone and don't be surprised if a welcoming gesture involves a 'cuppa' (cup of tea or coffee) and a biscuit. The rooms are petite, in a cute way, and the living area decorated with Romanesque statues and orchids begs for a good book to read, of which it offers plenty. The upside of its location is being just down the street from Wayland Square and its restaurants, cafes, boutiques and bookstores. The downside is the constant traffic whizzing by throughout the day, though it subsides greatly come nighttime.
