Weather

When winter weather back home becomes too much to handle, many people flee to Turks and the Caicos to bask in low 80 degree temperatures (mid-20s Celsius). More visitors equals higher prices, so expect steep ... Read more
hotel rates from December through April, with prices peaking over Christmas, New Year’s and President’s Day weekend in February. However, the rest of the year is pretty idyllic, too: summers can heat up into the mid-90s Fahrenheit (mid-30s Celsius) and you might get some afternoon showers, but you’ll be well compensated by cheaper hotel rates and airfare. Like the rest of the Caribbean, Turks and the Caicos can get hit by hurricanes, so keep a close eye on the weather from June 1 to November 30.

Very compact and the capital of Turks and Caicos. The island and particularly Providenciales is very small and compact. The city though small is clean but you won't want to stay here of you go to the island. The outlying hotels have some of the best beaches in the world. If you choose to go shopping then that would be a reason to come here.

Providenciales is the main tourist island of Turks and Caicos, not the capital. That island, Grand Turk, which houses the cruise ship port, is about 50 miles east. Beautiful beaches, great snorkeling. Food is expensive as it is mostly brought in from Miami. Not a lot of good duty free shopping. Go to the Bahamas for that. Come here for quiet relaxation.

I was in Turks and Caicos with my boyfriend and his family for Christmas. Was the perfect combination of beach/activity/romance/chill. Great spot for an anniversary. Will definitely return ( but will leave the family at home!)

Beautiful island, the water is completely turquoise and transparent. White sandy beaches. I came here for a stay at the Club Med, great decision. Been here 3x already and have my 4th one already booked. Easily the most fun place on the island for sports and nightlife.
