Visiting in the summer comes with its own recompense: higher temperatures, humidity and occasional rain in exchange for discounted hotel rates and fewer crowds on the beach. My husband and I purchased this house in August 2015. We love the west coast of Florida. The location is perfect. Quiet, peaceful, waterfront and the Village of Punta Gorda is GREAT. It is very old Florida but with great food, pubs, night life and atmosphere. Honestly we can't wait to retire full time here, but for the time being, we hope you enjoy our home.
