Been there a few times OK place but I didn't think anything special. Maybe it was just the time I went.

Check to see what hours they don't charge for cover. Amazing dance floor on the 3rd floor and the music is the best!

Tipsy crow is a chill pls e to grab drinks. It's not a club scene by any means so it's more of a lounge feel than anything but nonetheless a cool place to hangout for a chill time.

This is one of my favorite bars in San Diego. The lay our and atmosphere is all part of the charm. The entrance brings patrons into the middle floor that has a pretty standard bar area and a some tables for eating. The top floor is more of a lounge area that has couches and a more relaxed vibe. The bottom floor is a full on dance club without all the pretentious vibes of the neighboring nightclubs.

Wandering downtown San Diego's Gaslamp area can be a little overwhelming if you're new to the whole adult nightlife thing. My journeys eventually led me to the door of this establishment and I must really recommend it to anyone looking to find their own style. I came here first on a busy day where they were having one of their Drink Exchange events. All their TVs were displaying a stock exchange-like list of prices for their drinks. The prices of a drink would go up by 25 cents if a person bought that particular drink, and one of the other drinks would drop by 25 cents at the same time. You end up with this game of do I order my drink now at $3.50 or should I risk it and wait a few minutes to see is the price goes lower. And once you have your drink you get to see the other interesting thing about The Tipsy crow. The main floor you walk in on is typical for a downtown bar: a long bar-top, a few booths, and decent music playing. Good for those that want to laugh with friends and chat while they sip drinks. Head to the back and downstairs and suddenly you are in a dance club. Dim lights and pumping music fill the room as people twirl to latin, grind to hip hop, and generally freak out to the latest club bangers. If that's too loud I invite you to head upstairs instead, the top floor is a low light and comfortable lounge. Plush chairs and couches fill the rooms. a little fireplace is tucked up against a wall and the windows over a view of the street-life just outside. Sip a drink in luxury and chat with your buddies or make a new acquaintance and get to know then in a quieter space. The top floor is my favorite little spot but the bar as a whole offers a taste of many different flavors and is always on my must-go list.

Great bar in SD.

Friends and I came here for drinks and had a fantastic time.
There is a $5 cover on Saturdays from what I remember.

There are 3 levels to this bar and something for everyone. You can dance, drink, and chill.

Drinks are pretty solid. The crowd was unpretentious, just looking for a good time.

Lame on two floors. The bar version of a bingo hall but somehow with hip hop music and 20 somethings. It might be okay if you bring your own crowd and have already had a lot to drink.

My all time favorites bar!!!!! If you are going to any bar in downtown San Diego, this is the bar!!! Thursday's is the night. The drink exchange is so much fun and a cheap way to drink. This is a do not miss bar.

Great place to hang out and get a bite to eat in the Gas Lamp area. Very eclectic but very good! Also in this area are some fun dive bars like Whiskey Girl, The Hopping Pig, Lucky Bastard Saloon is fun to grab a drink and sit at the bar on a saddle! Do not waste your time in Coyote Ugly. Grill your own steaks at The Strip Club (supposedly a former real strip club??--now it refers to strip steak). Very crowded and reservations suggested. Also some great clubs with live bands and singers. Just a super fun area down here in the Gas Lamp Quarter!

Great bar and awesome bar stock market (prices adjust to popularity). Highly recommend the Gaslamp comedy show featuring comedian Mal Hall. He's hilarious and a local!

Awesome bar. Has 3 separate levels, with the basement floor being the dance room with a DJ. Bets night to go is on Thursdays when they have the drink stock market. Drink prices will rise and drop based on popularity and it is all displayed on the many TVs around. Great way to try new drinks or just get the ones you love when they are dropping in the market.

Great Gaslamp nightlife spot with three levels! Get your drinks on the street level, then head down underground for DJs, music, and dancing - or upstairs to the lounge and pool tables, making it essentially a low-key club. And the prices are pretty darn good for a downtown bar - especially during Drink Exchange happy hour, when the stock crashes or soars based on customer popularity. Seriously cool.

One of my favorite bars in Gaslamp! My little brother's girlfriend wanted to celebrate her birthday in Gaslamp, so I recommended this bar since we rented a loft close by. Our original intention was to do some late afternoon bar hopping. However, after having a few drinks here we ended not hopping anywhere.

There are 3 stories here: the main bar floor, a floor with games and a pool table (upstairs), and a dancing floor (downstairs), which wasn't open at the time we were there. The crowd here is really chill. Everyone is super friendly and easy to talk to. The age range is pretty spread out, but you'll probably see mostly 21 to late 30's here. I got hit on by two 22 year-old drunk military dudes, which wasn't too uncomfortable, but one of them couldn't take the hint either. The other one was too plastered to know what was going on. Sorry rookies, I was doing multiplication and division before you were even born. Good thing my brother and his friends were there to cock block!

Drinks were well made, had a good amount of alcohol and pretty reasonably priced, especially during happy hour, which I think on this particular Friday night did not end until 8 PM.

This is definitely one of my go-to places, and if you're new in the area, this is a good one to stop by and grab a drink. Or two. Or three...

A girls night out in San Diego started off here. We were about to skip it completely to head to another place, but who could resist free admission? It was a bit crowded on the main floor, so we headed upstairs to the other bar area (called The Nest) to order a drink. The bartender was quick to serve us and my drink was delish. It's not that difficult to make a good Long Island. Two of our party of four ordered the frozen Hurricane. For some odd reason it tasted like cotton candy. Wouldn't mind returning here.
