Awesome place - lots of fighter jets and helicopters to look at, plus you can easily spend hours exploring below deck in the sleeping quarters, engine rooms, kitchen and squadron rooms.

The USS Midway offers a great in depth look at what it was like to serve on a naval aircraft carrier. There's lots to see and the audio tour as well as yellow hat docents offer a wealth of knowledge. Because this was an active aircraft carrier at one time there are some rather steep narrow stairwells and low ceilings in places. If seeing the whole ship plan being there for 2-3 hours.

The first of her class of ship and the first of America's "super carriers". Commissioned just a week after the end of the Second World War, but named after one of the most pivotal naval conflicts in American naval history, a lot of the museum focuses on the Battle of Midway.

Wonderful place to experience living history! Tons of hands-on exhibits, plus a free audio tour. Make sure to spend some time with the volunteers who give talks on the flight deck. I was just enthralled with hearing first hand about their experiences as pilots and sailors on this ship. Exploring below decks is also something to not be missed! Spend lots of time here, it is worth it!

This is a great piece of history and a wonderful tour. I like how it is hands on and at your own pace via headsets. The tour will take several hours and well worth it.

This is such a cool museum! I love that you can explore on your own and a lot of museum is really interactive. Touching-friendly! That sounded odd, but what I mean is you can really be hands-on with the space.

I loved exploring the lower level and seeing where crew members dined, worked, slept, and hung out. They have human mannequins everywhere to help you imagine what it was like when the ship was fully operational. It's so interesting to see, and the ship is HUGE. The lower levels aren't very well ventilated so it can get a little stuffy and hot inside, but they do have fans throughout that help. I actually get severely claustrophobic so some of the tight spaces were really uncomfortable for me to be enclosed in. I can't even imagine living on one of these ships for months!! The place is a maze, and there are so many different nooks and crannies to explore.

The upper observation deck of the ship is amazing. You can see all the fighter jets and planes, and it really just gives makes the USS Midway feel SO MUCH BIGGER. The view is also beautiful because you can see the harbor and smaller boats in the water. Great place to visit and the entrance fee is very affordable!

There's a museum here, but if you don't have time, just take a photo with the ship. It's a great backdrop and is conveniently located next to the Unconditional Surrender statue!

To be fair I didn't actually go inside because I'd rather not pay $20 a ticket. Looks nice from the outside though.
