recently that I finally had room in my stomach for this! I ordered their blackball dessert which comes with $2 worth of topping selections that I ended up creating on my own. It comes either cold, warm or hot and I chose the warm version because I came on a chilly night. Surprisingly, it wasn't bad at all. The dessert wasn't too sweet and the coffee creamer that came with the order provided a great flavor.

After a really good lunch or dinner, it doesn't have to be great either. If you want something to end your evening like a nightcap, don't really want alcohol. This is the place for you.

Take a good look at the menu because you can get something to share or you can order one for yourself. It can come in a cup the size of a bowl or in a tall cup. I always like grass jelly so anything else that accompany this for me is my preference. There is always taro balls or mini balls. Laugh all you want because I said balls but try it for yourself and you'll fall in love with it.

Known for their desserts but I come here for their drinks, just plain milk and grass jelly is all you need and is good for the soul. It's sweet but not too sweet, just the right amount of flavor. Min credit card use is $10

I love that they sell hot desserts as well as cold. We were here on a cold evening, in the 50's. My friend ordered the hot grass jelly with pudding on top. It was so good and just hit the spot.

I came here to try their desserts. They are very well known in Asia. I wanted to see how they were, compared to Meet Fresh. I still personally think Meet Fresh is better. Their desserts are reasonably priced. Each dessert is $5.95, you get to choose what kind of jelly you want. You can also add additional toppings for an extra charge. I got #1 and it had taro balls, boba, and grass jelly. I like the texture of the taro balls.

Plenty of parking underground!

This is a great desert place to get your traditional TW cold desert craving solved. Its great how this place opened up and it has many different toppings to go with your desert. It is similar to Meet Fresh but has it own twist on the menu. High recommended

Wanted to try several different things here but decided on the Ai yu ice dessert. It was a bed of shave ice with boba, konjac jelly, taro balls, and sweet potato balls. The boba, and taro balls, and sweet potato balls were thoroughly cooked and gummy! The wait time was quick! Of all the Taiwanese dessert places I've tried, this is up there. The 4 star is for the food only. The service is lacking. I've been here a couple times and neither times did I get a proper greeting.

The lot parking gets busy and the spaces are very tight. There is also underground parking too but I've not parked there to know what it's like.

I think this is the closest it gets to sitting at a Chinese dessert place in Hong Kong and everything is great about that moment just being there enjoying the people, the place and most important the dessert.

The wait was not too bad. 5-6 min and my dessert was ready. The order was simple. I picked an order and the toppings I didn't like I just swap it out with something else. The dessert itself wasn't very sweet which was great.

In addition you can pick you dessert to be, cold, warm or hot.

Blackball is the latest Taiwanese Dessert in San Gabriel Valley.

Located in the same plaza as Boiling point, which the parking can be a bit problem at time. Line is quite long here, I only try one dessert which is #4 has glass jelly, sesame mochi, greeen tea mochi. I like all the mochi balls, but didn't like the glass jelly. It wasn't fresh and tasted worth than the can one, It has watery down tasted. Not even close to the meet fresh quality.

Blackball cannot compare to the Meet Fresh in Irvine. Dessert was super sweet. The winter melon tea tastes the same as Meet Fresh though.

The taro balls were not as chewy.

For people who never had Meet Fresh, then this would be considered good, but if you're used to the one in Irvine, then this can't match up. Sorry to say. It is cheaper though.
