Out of the abundance amount of hot pot places around the 626 neighborhood, this place has always been my top choice. For less than $12 per person, you can enjoy a nice hot soup with a free green or black tea. Their soup is flavorful and their sauces are great for meat dipping.

This is located inside a strip mall so parking is convenient.

This place used to have really bad service, but they seemed to have turned their staff around as of about 1.5 years ago. The food is solid, consistent and spicy. Perfect for Sundays after a previous night out on the town.

Come during lunch time so you can add green or black tea for free. Perfect place to go to during winter, or gloomy day. The place finally has a waiting chart where you can enter your party # then grab a printed number until your number is called. My favorite dish would be their lamb and added side pork intestine.

I always see there is a long line at this location so I was curious to try it and it was not as good as I expected. Also, I felt it was kind of pricey considering the little amount of meat that they give you.

I used to like Boiling Point a lot, but I feel they really gone down in quality ever since they got so popular. They use to give more stuff, but no it's a lot less. I still like to go there on cold days though, especially this location since it's the biggest. The sauces they have are the best!

HELL YEA !

Finally I made it to Boiling Point. I was like a kid left alone at Toys'R'Us.
Everybody talks how good Boiling Point is, the best Hot Pot in California blaaa...

After I wanted to check out Boiling Point for my first time in November last year on Garvey me and my friend waited over 30 Min so we left. Never had Boiling Point

until NOW! And lucky me I could had my first time at the new one on Valley. And 4 days before I was watching them installing the lights for the big letters of Boiling Point outside with a huge machine at night. Whuuuuuuuu it's fate.

Anyways. It is delicious.

But is it hyped up? YES IT IS HYPE!!!!! But if you don't mind being part of the hype then come. I'm sure it's 60% word of mouth and hype, 40% quality, service and they sell the brand.

Anyways it is really good and the service was REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD I think. For this I give it a + + + + + + + + ..... because they would ask you if everything is ok, come if you need help, you just felt their presence.
But I guess once this store passed its first year the energy of the service will go down as well haha, BUT I HOPE NOT.

So yea.. 4 stars.... no 5 because it smells so strong once you get in. It smells like the gas or something because they use that yelly paste for the fire. Yuk... well but this is the original of Hot Pot heated up with fire.

OHHH AND MY FRIEND KEPT TALKING ABOUT THE GREENTEA HOW GOOD THAT IS. It is pretty good because you really can taste it's TEA.

Finally came to this popular hot pot place in San Gabriel. Picked a super hot weeknight to come because I am not a fan of waiting in line. ( I am with the DJ!) **** my last comment got cut off.
My plan worked and was seated pretty much right away. They don't take reservation. You can choose from 12 different pots each with different ingredients and broth. I got the Taiwanese style pot which was super hot and I couldn't really eat it. A lot of people like this place but I don't think I would come back.

Ooooh.. another hot pot joint! This time, it's different! Instead of the Japanese style (Jazzcat?) where you have dishes and you cook everything in the soup by yourself, Boiling Point puts everything in the hot pot for you and it's basically ready to eat!

When this place opened up, I found myself going to eat there about once a week because it was so damn good. Not only is the food good, their service for the most part is pretty good too! I'm not sure what the heck it is about this place but I always want to go here.. even on a hot day!

My favorite soup here is definitely the Curry Fishball! I tend to order mild because their medium is spicy. The green milk tea is also very good here along with their standard green tea.

If you come during lunch, it's $9.99 with any soup with the exception of the three premium ones. You also get free green tea or black tea!

**

What I don't like about this place is the fact that during lunch they are SUPER busy - which is great for the business right? But you know what's annoying? When half of the top floor is EMPTY and there are a crapload of people waiting outside to sit down! PLEASE hire more people OR fully open your top floor!! I hate waiting!

One of the few places that is consistent in their soup. We regularly go here whenever we want hot pot. It's not the typical, you boil your own meat and veggies, it is pre-set and they bring it to you when it's ready. Wait time is usually around 20-30 minutes to get a table and once you got a table and ready to order, it arrives in like 5 minutes. They also serve good milk teas. They have macaron ice cream sandwiches for desserts and it's advertised on all their tv's in the place. They mostly show their menu on the TV and not anything else. Just make sure you ask for no pork blood because I know I don't like it. Also one bowl of soup is enough to feed like two people. You can always order an extra side of meat or other dish.

There is underground parking as top parking is limited. Make sure to go in and grab a ticket and look for your number being called.

One of my favorite hot pot places! The flavors are always on point and I haven't tried a pot that I didn't like so far. Each pot comes with a bowl of rice or a small bit of noodles.

My favorite flavor is the Japanese Miso which comes in a large size only, so I usually share with my boyfriend. The best deal is coming here for lunch where everything is cheaper and you get a free drink!

The drinks are tasty as well! The line can get crazy long, even on hot days, so be sure to be ready to wait!

i am not usually a fan of Hot pot but boiling point, like a mole- really grew on me!
I love Bp because of the simple option- and incorporating a bowl of Tomato All Vegetarian broth only soup!

I usually like my hot pot with a side of Hokkaido drink but this location actually ran out -_-! i wished they were more on top of pouring our water for us, i must of flagged down the waitress about 2 separate occasion!
Even though with the minor mishaps we were happy with our food and went on our merry way!

For Taiwanese Hot Pot, Boiling Point is STILL my favorite. (Though if you think there's one that beats it, please let me know)

This location is one of the bigger locations for BP, but even so, they don't seem to have the staff or kitchen staff to maintain it.

Arrived at 11:40am and still had to wait at least 20 minutes to be seated. Upon entering you realize that still a quarter of the restaurant was still open. I def give them props for not seating people too quick, but they could at least higher more staff to fully accommodate their restaurant.

Now I'm not sure if they did this on purpose or not. But as we finished our meal and had everything cleared away. My friend and I were able to chat for over 30 minutes without them ever even thinking about bringing us the check. Eventually we though we should be waiving them down to get our check, though that didn't take as long as nearly expected.

But seriously, having 2 waiters for the whole upstairs area is NOT enough. You have the demand, you have the space. Hire more waiters to increase your turn over!

(Takes sip) HOT HOT HOT HOT! (Burns tongue) -_-

So I've been to hot pot places where you share with the entire group, places where they just give you the broth, but this is the first place where everything is already thrown in for you.

First thing you will notice is the wait, we came in on a Sunday at 5 and it took us 30 minutes for a table of 8 (I've been to worse). They have two floors and a bunch of tables. I ordered the lamb hot pot soup with hot spicy for $11.

The plate came out sizzling and the heat source is a little charcoal briquette (purple rocks) so the broth is constantly evaporating. You better eat it fast before everything is all soggy. The lamb and broth were both delicious; however, I dislike how most of the soup comprised of cabbage... By the end of it, I really got sick of all the cabbage. Also, I wish they just gave us a water vase instead of giving us little Styrofoam cups because it can get spicy real quick.

Overall, boiling point is solid for the price. Furthermore, service was fairly quick and attentive. However, if I had a choice, I would go to other hot pot places that don't skimp so much on the meats.

Dropped in here with a few friends on Friday night. At least one of my friends was able to go and wait as the rest of us were en route from all over. Consequently my friends had just been seated when I got there with one other friend in tow.

This is rare since the wait was like 45 minutes for a party of 6. None the less hurray for finding parking quickly and a lack of rain while our friends were waiting.

Pro Tip: Park on the bottom level as it appears to have more parking available more quickly then the first sub tiered level.

I got the beef hot pot medium spicy and just enjoyed it tons. I did pass some of the basic stuff to my friends as I dont like the fish cake or fish balls as well as the shrooms, but my friends gobble that stuff up like no tomorrow. What can I say, I am just not a fungi I guess…

The service here was better than the location in Arcadia, the line was shorter, and the place was bigger. It seems like Boiling Point is understanding how to make their model work better with this newer location. I definitely enjoyed my dinner here. They brought out extra broth for us as well as additional fire for some of my friends hot pots. I definitely enjoy eating here and with a cost of under $15 per person, the price point isn’t bad. It is definitely a filling meal.

Who knows, maybe I’ll even run into you here sometime!
