San Jose del Cabo Vacations

The less-crowded sister city to Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo is Los Cabos' Old Town area. While the entire area has exploded recently as a good-time vacation destination (you can find anything from day-long fishing expeditions to all-night rave parties), San Jose del Cabo has kept a slightly quieter profile. Anchored nearest the Los Cabos ... Read more
airport and connected to Cabo San Lucas by a 20-mile strip (known as the 'Resort Corridor'), San Jose del Cabo offers more bird-watching, fishing and snorkeling than spring break parties.

Los Cabos is blessed with fair weather year-round, but before hopping on the next plane to paradise, you’ll want to consider some other factors. If you’re hoping to escape winter weather back home, know that ... Read more
prices spike over Christmas and New Year’s, while the cheapest rates can be found during the hot, dry months of summer (and you’ll likely have the beach all to yourself). Another thing to keep in mind is how you want to spend your vacation: are you planning to snorkel and scuba dive? Head here in the summer for warmer water; during the winter, the water gets icy cold. Are you a more land-friendly mammal? Do your hiking in the winter when temperatures are cooler; by mid-summer, temperatures can reach a scorching 100 (37).

best place to visit. done cabo 7 or 8 times. love it. last time rented a jeep and drove up to cerritos beach near pescadero. honestly one of the best days of my life. there is a restaurant with amazing margaritas. rented surfboards water was perfect temp and clear. waves were awesome. wish I had the pics to share. cabo is awesome. you can find everything or nothing. dont let the negative press scare you away. I have never felt anything other than safe and welcome here.

San Jose del Cabo is a quaint historical town with the Mission of San Jose del Cabo as its center. There are many jewelry, clothing and souvenir shops here as well as restaurants.

Be sure to take part in the Thursday evening art walks in the main square of Old Downtown San Jose Del Cabo! There are several art galleries (amber art, arenas art, and Muvezi Fine African Art), restaurants, pubs (Baja Brewing), and other interesting attractions. The galleries also serve wine as you browse through the art from all over the world.

San Jose del Cabo is okay to stay if you are on a budget. For some odd reason this place has a foul kind of smell when I was at their beach. Maybe because it is the horseback riding that was near by or just the place in general.

Overall, my stay was here was decent. I can't stay much about what to do here beside going to the beach, horseback riding, or some other outdoor activities that they have. If you want, just take the taxi and go to the city of Cabo for night life and better hotel.

Very cool little town of about 60K - you can find most anything you need and it is so much saner and authentic than Cabo San Lucas... Art Walk on Thurs evenings, Saturday farmer's market, etc. etc.

The difference between San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, as an experience is night and day. There is not the extreme nightlife and you won't feel like you are in hipster hell. There are many 5* Hotels, upscale restaurants and more quality Mexican experiences. My preference.

Loved the beaches here. Not much to see outside of your resort - at least for me. We've been to Cancun before as well and it seems that each downtown spot in MX has much of the same vibe. I'm any case, I enjoy being at the pool or on the beach best

Seems more residential and commerical than CLS. There are some golf courses and hotels here though. Seems like it is for the traveler that wants to avoid the CSL hype.
