Dreams is one of the most popular of the Cabo all-inclusives, and is the place for weddings, anniversaries, and honeymooners. Four restaurants serve seafood, Asian cuisine, steaks, and Mexican food (if you're looking to woo a special someone, you can also book a private candlelight dinner). Five bars, three pools, and a long list of activities round off the amenities. The spa menu is vast and nightly entertainment/activities are always planned. The Explorer's Club for kids 3-12 can help occupy the kiddos while you hit the spa or bar. Dreams always seems to be filled to capacity, so book well in advance.
Who Should Go: Honeymooners and couples with small children
Why: While girls gone wild and their bachelor-party admirers whoop it up down in Cabo San Lucas, blissful romance prevails at this generously proportioned beachfront palace. Popular for destination weddings (ceremonies are scheduled almost every day) and honeymoons, Dreams offers large ocean-view suites with private terraces, three large pools, five restaurants, and lots of activities, as well as opportunities for leisurely inactivity. Special packages are available (for additional fees) if you want to play one of the eight championship golf courses in the area or try deep-sea fishing. While romance is the focus, Dreams hasn’t neglected families: a children’s Explorers Club and a kids’ pool give parents a break.
The Dollars: Doubles from $616/night.
Definitely a lovely facility with plenty of amenities. The rooms weren't as big as I hoped, but I really didn't spend a whole lot of time in them.
I would say that this resort a bit more family friendly than others that I had stayed out which was both good and bad. Good if you've got family and bad if you're looking for a bit more excitement.
I might stay again, but I'd probably opt for Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach instead.
ALL-INCLUSIVE! Unlimited food, alcohol, room service, etc.! This beautiful hotel is along "The Corridor" of other well renowned hotels! The hotel area is very safe. There's a big gate and a security person guarding it 24/7. Once inside, you feel like you're transported to another continent. There are many restaurant choices, pool areas, and of course the nice sandy beach. The current is very strong so unfortunately they have BIG warning signs telling you not to go in the water. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
In front of the hotel there's a bus stop! If you're adventurous like me, you'll take it to go to either Downtown Cabo or the historic San Jose del Cabo! Of course, the hotel has a shuttle that'll take you to the downtown area, but it's gonna cost you... like $12USD? If you have time and are patient, the local bus will even take you to the airport!
The food and drinks are unlimited here! I couldn't believe it! Room service too! You can ask for food 24/7. There's a menu book in the rooms telling you what's being offered throughout the day! So the abundance of food was there. The presentation is great, but the taste of the food was super disappointing. Everything was overcooked, dry, rubbery, bland, etc. The tequila wasn't "premium" like they said. It was kind of gross. Probably the only thing decent were the fresh cut fruits (papaya, pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe) in the morning at the buffet area near the pool, and my fresh cactus juice I ordered from my room in the morning. Also, the water they serve here is filtered... or so they say. But I didn't get upset stomach or anything.
It was my first time at an all-inclusive resort so I didn't know what to expect. It was very relaxing, clean, comfortable. I wished they had more souvenirs in their gift shop. They have a little outside vendor down by the sand. Make sure to haggle A LOT!
LOVED: the beautiful hotel, the rooms, all-inclusive stuff, the bus stop out front, well presented food, fresh cactus juice!
DISLIKED: felt a bit imprisoned inside the resort (because we couldn't go into the waters), the food tasted so-so.
