Its a great place to go running and jogging. There aren't any inclines, its just a flat paved track however the scenery is really beautiful. You get to make your way around the lake if you want too. There are benches along the way that you can take rest at. You also come across a few animals during your hike.

You can walk, or bike along the Sawyer Camp Trail. It's very long, so be sure to turn around when you feel half way there. The view here is beautiful!

Good trail for biking and running but if you are expecting a real hike, this is really not the place to be. There is no elevation so it is really just a casual walk. I wouldn't say the view is spectacular but the reservoir is quite pretty on a sunny day.

The trail entrance is impossible to miss if you are coming from Crystal Springs Road. (unless you are on the wrong road or you drove off the cliff) The trail seems to be pretty popular but not crowded. Parking weren't hard to find.

Full trail is about 6 miles one way. Great place to train for runners.

If you are looking into trails around the Bay Area, you mat want to check out Sawyer Camp Trail. The trail is paved and flat for the most part. The area is scenic and has a nice view of they water/reservoir. Its a nice place to either run, walk, or bike. I've even seen a few photographers here trying to take photos of the scenery and use it as a backdrop.

Runners, bikers, walkers... this is a really good trail to explore and burn some calories. Whatever your thing is (run, bike, walk), you can enjoy 6 miles of paved trail to enjoy a nice day outdoors. The view is pretty nice since the trail stretches from the shores of Crystal Springs Reservoir to San Andreas Lake.

During weekends the place get really crowded, so make sure to slow down if you are riding your bike.

This place is fantastic to go for a run. Surrounded by nature with a big river on the side it's the perfect place to forget about the everyday problems and push yourself on a good run.
