You will find Mexican crafts and art from different places in Mexico. Beautiful ceramic and talavera products, art in glass, clothing; and there is also one place where you can find Tenangos (hand embroidered fabric) which are just wonderful pieces of art, colorful, amazing and unique (not two are alike) created by the hands of the Otomi people from Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo.

This market winds through several blocks and it is here that you'll find the largest selection of local talent and their craft. A wonderful way to spend a couple of hours and stock up on fruits and vegetables from the local farms.

This is the largest market in town for fruits, flowers, artist crafts, shoes, rugs, everything. The native women are selling cheeses, nopales, tamales, roasted corn. There you can also buy the most beautiful embroidery for pillows, bedspreads, tablecloths, or just hangings on the wall. Also beautiful jewelry is there and all kinds of Mexican crafts.

Here, you can find hand made items from pewter napkin rings to room-sized woven rugs. Bargaining is de rigour, so don't be shy. Find the carved and painted wooden alijibre (wooden animal) you can't live without. I always find something new when visiting this multi-block market.

San Miguel is known for it's folk art and it's so much fun to stroll this market for treasures. You can bargain for jewelry, crafts and visit the Negromante market at the top to buy fruit and flowers.
