This place is awesome. They have interactive exhibits. The best part is learning without even knowing that you are learning.

Smaller than most aquariums, but it's free and filled with interesting small ocean creatures.

This museum is great and very interactive. It is small, but lots of things to do and check out!

Such a great place to stroll through! Free admission, but donations are accepted at the entrance. Parking is cheap.
Lots of schools on field trips, so beware of super excited and curious groups of kiddos running around!
Quiet library upstairs with awesome view of the beach.

This is a much smaller aquarium than the nearby Aquarium Of The Pacific in Long Beach, but it is entrance by donation, if you care to donate. There are also tide pools to explore, which is very cool. This is also one of the places people go to experience Grunion Run's.

Designed by Frank Gehry in 1981, his best works yet to come, Cabrillo Marine Aquarium complements Long Beach's Aquarium of the Pacific. Located adjacent to Cabrillo Beach Coastal Park and the Port of Los Angeles the aquarium displays the largest collection of Southern California marine life in the world.

Smaller than the Aquarium of the Pacific, but more charming. Bummer that the touch pool won't let you touch the sharks, but the exhibits are great and fun to do (even for adults). Staff are very friendly!
