dips outside that range, so bring layers no matter when you decide to visit. Rains are fairly common during the winter, but almost unheard of from May through October, so if you are planning on taking advantage of the area’s many outdoor activities (rather than haunting the halls of tech offices), this is the best time to visit.

Santa Clara offers many nice work-family balance options. Several large tech employers are located here along with a variety of housing options. Nice shopping and restaurants with neighborhood parks. Supportive police and fire departments. Overall the slowly improving generally average-ish local schools are keeping home values down compared to other cities in the county.

One of the most historic cities in the South Bay. Home to Santa Clara University, the Mission and the future home of the San Francisco 49ers.

They messed up on downtown here. Currently City Hall is located out of the way off Harrison St and the rest of the real downtown is over on Main Street and Homestead. You'd never know however because the place is really quiet and only has anything on Saturday with the Farmer's market.

In any case this is a great town to live in. No water bill either, since the City of Santa Clara pays that.
