My boyfriend recently surprised me with a day at Great America. We had a pretty good time however was disappointed that most of the rides we would want to go on would involve me needing to rent a $15 per day locker. Yes, everything costs lots of money here: storage, food, and souvenirs (unless you go to the clearance gift shop). But overall, this is a family centered amusement park that seems to frown on childless couples.

Its pretty decent place to be. Lot of Infant/toddler friendly rides. My son really enjoyed the time we were there. Food is also good. Overall we had fun in this theme park

I'm not a major thrill seeker but I still had a fun time here with my young children. The Snoopy Planet area has about a dozen rides that will please the little ones (~ under 8 years old). Of course there are insane roller coasters and even that pirate ship that does a full 360 after you're suspended upsidedown )eek!) as well as lots of water park rides (slides, log flume, fountains and an impressive white wAter raft ride).

We got there at opening time (10am) on a cloudy weekend morning and the park was surprisingly empty. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a ride!

Food options are pretty boring (burger snack bar, Panda Express)

Some fun live musical entertainment for kids and adults.

This park was formally owned by Six Flags and designed as the sister park to the Illinois park. I've been here several times and love it.

I recommend this amusement park for all ages. There are kiddie rides at Snoopy's Planet, and big rides at New Orleans area.

Super fun rides, but like all amusement parks I wish the were smaller lines and longer rides. The food was not the best, but what do you expect. I have made lots of memories here over the years, even if it isn't the number one in tidiness.

Great America is one of the most popular places around when you have (or you are) a teenager. It can get pretty crowded and the lines are long. The place is pretty big and you can easily spend the whole day here.

Our cousins were visiting from out of town and we took them to their first American theme park! We bought the after 4pm tickets on a Saturday and surprisingly was not too crowded! It was a blast! The staff was very nice and the park was kept clean. Thoroughly impressed with the park after not having been there for years!

This place is OK. A lot of the rides are older and have only been refurbished and tooled to suit a new theme/branding. There's a small water park on site that's included in your admission, which is awesome, but a hassle, as you'll have to rent a pricey locker to secure your clothes and personal items.

Great America is one of the wildest theme parks near San Francisco. The verity of scary rides and the new water park is crazy. Overall enjoy the attractions here but food and souvenirs are absurdly expensive.

Spent many of my weekends here as a teenager. Nicely divided theme sections with rides for different ages. Plenty of big intense rides yet also many calm and little kid rides too. Of course the food it terrible and over priced. You can pack a picnic in your car and use the tables outside the main gate for a change.

California's Great America has load of rides for kids of every age. Best to go on a day when it's less sunny, so you'll avoid the crowds and sunburn.

Great America has a wide variety of rides and a few fun waterslides for older kids and adults. There is also a lot of waterpark features for young children. There are a lot of rollercoasters and intense rides along with many for young children. It is a good choices for kids of all ages and adults that are young at heart. I recommend getting there early as lines can get long.

It was a super hot day so going to a water park and riding some fair rides was definitely a good idea. Bit overpriced.

Great America has tons of fun for families and young adults with lots of great shows included in your ticket price. This is the ideal place to ride the famous wooden roller coaster known as the Grizzly. It has many on roller coasters rides for all ages. Be sure to visit this place when you come visit Silicon Valley.

Be forewarned, this place is packed during the summer! But what theme park isn't crowded when all the kids are off for vacation? Top Gun is one of my personal favorites here, but be prepared for a lengthy wait.

I would recommend getting a yearly pass if you want to go during weekends when it's less crowded and school's in session. =)
