If you like Caribbean food, this is a good place to try. The chicken selections are good, although the sides seemed pretty bland. Friendly staff, outdoor seating, and it does get busy, so be prepared to wait.

I had the Cha Cha chicken which is basically stew chicken & I've had better. Maybe I ordered a selection that wasn't popular. The fresh squeezed lemonade was delicious.

Amazing find! You can bring your own alcoholic beverages and their food is yummy. The enchiladas were a little too spicy for me but hey to each their own.

A go-to place for yummy Jerk Chicken! And what's even better is it's a BYOB! Warning though: It does get packed! Not recommended for large groups because you will barely find a place to sit down. It's also outdoors, so if you hate the heat, I would not come here on a Friday night. Parking is tough to find as well since it's right near the beach. You will be lucky if you can find street parking.

This place has awesome chicken! I would definitely recommend for sure. Caribbean food and it's not too expensive around $12-15 a plate. Definitely yummy!

Very good! My favorite is the mole dish. I've also had the enchiladas and they have a nice twist of Caribbean flavor. They have a small seat-yourself indoor and outdoor patio area. The lines do get pretty long at dinner time and sometimes you have to wait for people to leave and snag a chair/table before someone else gets it. You can also bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner!

mmmmmmmmm delicious!

I love the Jerk Chicken Enchilada and the Mango Guava Juice! and the platanos!

Location is AMAZING...right next to the Promenade and Pier...what more could you ask for?

Service.. PERFECTO! Friendly staff

Ambiance.... feels like I'm sitting in COSTA RICA....without the buildings around us...

The best part which many would argue is the BYOB!

I'm a sucker for Jerk Chicken. Excellent find! If you're at Santa Monica Beach, Cha Cha Chicken is a buried treasure unearthed at the beach. Come here for a taste of the Caribbean! Located near the beach, come here to satisfy your hunger on some delicious food!

COCONUT FRIED CHICKEN: crispy coconut battered chicken served with sweet mango sauce and jerk dipping sauces.

The chicken was delicious. Not too fried and not too soft. Excellent down the middle. The mango sauce was an awesome topping and went very well with the coconut flavors. The dish came with with soft and chewy plantains and potato "chips" that go very well with the fried chicken. At reasonable prices, with a friendly staff, and a feel-good-relaxing atmosphere near the beach, you can't go wrong with dining at Cha Cha Chicken!

Awesome Caribbean food! Some of the best in Los Angeles.

Great atmosphere a street away from the beach, and a quick walk to the pier or 3rd Street Promenade.

Also: last time I was there I saw that they let you bring alcohol for a corking fee

Jerk chicken is awesome. We love this place. Tough parking, but food is worth it. Spicy, sweet, and Jamaican me crazy! Try the jerk enchiladas or jerk turkey or beef burger for a twist. Fresh juices too. Always come back when we're in the area.

Let's just say I will gladly make the drive all the way from San Jose to Santa Monica for their coconut fried chicken. It's that good, I kid you not. We went there back to back days and I ordered a whole chicken for the road! Order the other stuff on the menu as they were all good, but do not go home until you have tried the coconut fried chicken. It's lightly fried and the batter isn't too heavy with a subtle hint of coconut. It's to die for! And with a side of plantains and dirty rice, you can sleep happy at night. There's always a line during lunch so plan accordingly. My favorite perk? Buy your own beer and bring it in to enjoy!

**BEST DAMN CHICKEN ENCHILADAS IN SANTA MONICA**

Seriously, people.

It was GOOD.

Sure, it wasn't fancy.

But it wasn't thuggish ruggish either.

Reminded me of a cutesy artsy Carribean or Cuban cafe.

Parking can be painful, but WORTH it.

Lines can be long, but WORTH it.

ORDERED:

**COCONUT FRIED CHICKEN ($11.50 for 1/2) - Crispy coconut battered chicken served with sweet mango sauce and jerk dipping sauces were perfectly fried and delicious. Great flavors. I definitely preferred the jerk dipping sauce over the mango.

**JERK CHICKEN ENCHILADAS ($9.50) - Their signature Jamaican style chicken breast enchiladas smothered in their sweet spicy mango pineapple jerk sauce was AMAZING. I think these are my all-time favorite enchiladas EVER!

SIDES: Dirty rice and beans and corn on the cob. I INHALED. Good.

Also had the refreshing mango guave fresca. I downed that in seconds. Sooo good.

We sat outside amongst the heat lamps and the colorful tables.

Friendly service, good food, and casual ambiance.

I DIG.

RECOMMEND.
