Beautiful location & resort! The infinity pool is something you have to enjoy while you're there. Each room is like it's own little suite/apartment.

Beautiful views, fun cocktails, and delicious dinners. Elements never disappoints and the Jade bar at Sanctuary is always great too!

Sanctuary is one of the most luxurious and beautiful resorts in Phoenix/Scottsdale. It's located on Camelback Mountain and overlooks Paradise Valley. The resort is aptly named - you get a real sense of "being away from it all" when you're here. Camelback Mountain itself is gorgeous (think the red sandstone of Sedona), and the service here is outstanding. The resort is home to one of the prettiest outdoor dining areas in Phoenix, Elements. Even if you're not staying at the resort, if you need to get away from it all, or you're looking for a special place to enjoy dinner, head here for dinner on the patio.

If you love unique luxury then you will love this resort. The rooms are GIGANTIC and the views panoramic of the flavor you want in the SW. The restaurant Elements is worth breakfast every day and a must at leasy once - ask for the "romantic booths" if you are so inclinded or the kids can enjoy the great sunset views with you. The bar, Jade, is a perfect place to start an evening adventure. And finally - PLEASE try their Asian inspired spa; the wide range of treatments by well trained and experienced staff are great - facials (even for us guys) - and the Thai table are my favorites.

I often make time to visit the Jade Bar at the Sanctuary because it relaxes me and reminds me to delight in the beauty of life. It’s meant to be enjoyed. I like to sit on the second floor patio and gaze at the majestic Camelback Mountain while sipping a cocktail and munching on apps. I absolutely love this resort. The lighting is part of the lure. Illumination complements every part of the resort. Driving up the path to this sanctuary, you immediately escape your daily routine. There is parking below or a valet to escort you into the lobby. Food Network Chef, Beau MacMillan, leads the culinary team at Elements. While dining, you’ll be mesmerized by the view of the negative edge infinity pool that appears to be emptying right into the mountain. By day, relax in that very pool and roam the grassy grounds. A wedding would be magical. This might just be my number one Phoenix area resort.

This is best resort to get a massage, enjoy some fine dining or just pamper yourself. Excellent views and if you check in, you will never want to leave.

I would put the staff of Sanctuary Camelback Mountain in my top 5! Very few places have staff that will try to make eye contact with you and toss you a smile. I appreciate that, makes me feel good like a natural form of valium. The rooms fall into my top 3! The views from the side of the mountain looking down on the landscape below are incredible. Seeing all of the small lights in houses and desert landscaping. I could sit out on the balcony and enjoy a glass of wine all evening. The rooms are chic and stylish, I felt like a million bucks walking into one of their units!

Wow. Just wow. The name of this jaw-dropping resort is actually the perfect description of it. The Sanctuary is nestled right at the base of Camelback Mountain and is surrounded by surprisingly lush desert plant life so all city noise is completely drowned out by the time you reach the valet. The lobby, Jade Bar, and the Elements restaurant all overlook the entirety of Paradise Valley with the gorgeous negative-edge pool down below. I never wanted to leave.

Definitely stop by Jade Bar for a drink. Bartenders here can hold a conversation and are exclusively master mixologists so be sure to ask for a specialty and be amazed.

All of the rooms are located further up the mountain but no need to hike; they offer a chauffeur service right to your door. And the rooms…holy cow! Unlike a typical hotel, these suites are peppered around the property offering legitimate peace and quiet in utmost luxury. I am in LOVE with this resort.

We spent an entire day at the resort and it was fantastic.

    *SPA (see separate review)
The spa was not a 5 star experience. I enjoyed the spas in Vegas way better. I didn't care for their waiting room. I liked waiting in their zen garden. However, it was still NICE, just not great. My 60 min Swedish massage ($150) was good and I liked the fact that I could use the resort's facilities after the spa treatment.

5 stars here. Loved their tennis Director, John. We were given lots of attention. Free equipment, water, and towels. Clean, well-kept courts with shade and chairs.

Pool service was nice. $10+ cocktails and snacks were optional. The infinity pool was pretty. Best to get some lounge chairs before noon.

    *RESTAURANT (see separate review)
Solid brunch buffet. For $34, it was worth it. Especially with the shrimp cocktail.

We borrowed bikes and took them to Echo Canyon (see separate review). Took us 10 minutes to get to the head of the trail from the resort. Pleasant ride.

We spent 6 hours total at the resort and enjoyed our time here.

The resort was not perfect (not all staff members were smiling or friendly), but it was a solid resort overall.

Love the private casitas here. Elements, the hotel restaurant is also great.
