I didn’t have the food here, but my coworkers really enjoyed their meals. I did go for a cocktail which was tasty (and very strong).

One of Tom douglas's excellent restaurants, I had a wonderful meal at this place. Salmon and seafood are the stars here. I had a freshly seared salmon filet with perfectly crispy skin. My husband had the crab cakes- huge chunks of crab and little filler, with a potato salad that I wish I had the recipe for. For dessert, they have a toasted coconut pie that I have been tempted to ask to ship overnight to me, and freshly fried donuts that they shake in a paper bag once arriving at the table. Service was excellent and place had a great ambience. Reservations recommended.

Dahlia has both a restaurant and bakery. As a result, they have fluffy doughnuts that come with blueberry jam and mascarpone.

Great spot for special occasions and one of the better Tom Douglas restaurants. Their dinner is better than their brunch/lunch menus, in my opinion!

Came here for dessert after Lowell's. We shared the donuts with mascarpone and peach jam and the chocolate stout cake. MMMM. They bring the bag of donuts to your table, shake 'em around in the sugar cinnamon blend, then spread them on the plate. They are small, delicious, and when you put the vanilla mascarpone and jam on them, they sort of reminded me of sopapillas.
The chocolate stout cake was SO rich and good! I've never eaten hops as hops, but covered in chocolate, they were nutty and delicious! My picture will not do justice to the dessert, as the lighting is low and my flash is crap, but trust me - you do not want to miss the desserts here!

In a very much unplanned series of events, we ended up touring a significant portion of the chef Tom Douglas' culinary empire during a long weekend in Seattle.

Staying at the Andra hotel, we were yards from Lola, Serious Pie, and the Dahlia Bakery but we didn't go into Dahlia Lounge until late in our stay because, honestly, it looks kind of like an abandoned masonic temple from the street.

We ended up going because we sampled the coconut cream bite from Dahlia Bakery and the Serious Pie and figured the food would be great.

It was.

Pricey, but worth it. Crab cakes Peking duck treated well. Nice regional wines and informative, professional service.

**NICE PLACE FOR A COCKTAIL AND A SLICE OF COCONUT CREAM PIE**

3.5

Loved the ambiance.

Red, dark, and upscale saloony.

Great spot for a date and catching up with friends.

ORDERED:

DUNGENESS CRAB CAKES - $32
2 medium-size cakes with furikake yam, spicy mayo, cucumber sunomono, scallion, ikura. We savored every bite since it was pricey. Seriously, $16 for 3 bites, you would savor it, too. It was good, but like most Tom Douglas establishments I've experienced, didn't mean MIND-BLOWING. And the crabs were OK.
RATING: 3.5/5

FIVE SPICE DUCK - $29
Rotisserie roasted five spice duck stir fried delicata squash, mustard greens, black bean sauce, cranberry ginger relish was bit on the dry side when I took a bite of Gorman E's plate. Of course, you can have a better (juicy and flavorful) duck in Chinatown.
RATING: 2.75/5

TRIPLE COCONUT CREAM PIE - $9
This was the best thing of the night. Very flavorful and moist. Props to the pie. RATING: 5/5

Also ordered a delicious sidecar made right.

Thanks, Gorman E for the dinner treat!

RECOMMEND the Sidecar cocktail and the Coconut Cream Pie. I can live without the rest.

This is a very nice place for dinner. The restaurant is one of Seattle's best, by Seattle's native son. The Tuna was cooked to perfection. A great place for a nice business dinner, a special date, or a special occasion.
