Best seafood chowder in the world. Try the their Pacific Place restaurant. Same chowder, no line.

As someone with shellfish allergies I'd consigned myself to never enjoying a good chowder. Al that changed when I tried the salmon chowder at Pike Place Chowder. Best thing I've ever eaten!

Best chowder i've had to-date! The wait isnt too bad. Just hang in there! Grab a drink next door at Rachels Ginger Beer and put it in a coffee cup!

Delicious. Seriously, delicious. I highly recommend trying the sampler, which is basically a flight of chowder. That way you can try more of them without having to commit to a whole bowl.

My favorite place to go for chowder as they have a huge variety. I wasn't too impressed with their rolls so stay with the soups!

I went here with my sister on our day out. The New England clam chowder was delicious and my sisters seared scallop chowder was very yummy.

free poncho?! YEAH

dollar off if you check in? YES

13 Dollars for 4 samplers?! YES

But it ends about there. The chowder itself its just play. From all the hype I expected something ORGASMIC but I prefer the chowder from my cafeteria (Because its much richer)

TL:DR : LONG ASS LINE THAT MOVES QUICK! a stapler when visiting Seattle for the first time. OVERHYPED but you still got to do it.

Chowder is really good. Long lines and table availability managed. Nice break while in area of the market and aquarium.

Pike Place Chowder features award-winning levels of chowder: New England Clam, Seafood Bisque and Salmon are my favorite chowders. When I'm not devouring their chowder out of a sourdough bread bowl (a great dinner during winter months); I'm agonizing over which sandwich, side or specialty item to get. Pike Place Chowder is a temple to seafood lovers: shrimp rolls, seafood po'boys and crab mac n cheese are just a couple items you can choose from their menu--which is huge. Even with combo meal options it is difficult to choose which just two items-make sure to come hungry and bring a friend.

Literally the only complaint I have is how crowded this place gets! Definitely prepare to wait in line, but I will day the staff is pretty good about handling orders quickly and moving the line. Lots of varieties of chowder and every one I've tried has been delicious. I come back whenever I'm passing through the market and seer the line isn't monstrous

So I am crazy about clam chowder and I find it hard to find a good bowl of it. This bread bowl was amazing! And they have many different chowders to choose from so you don't have to just order the classic.

The best New England clam chowder I have ever had!!! I make the trip up to the market from Federal Way at least once a month just for a bowl of soup. The lines may get long, but it's worth every second and then some.!

Delicious chowder. My favorite is definitely the original, but I have tried the smoked salmon, their special (rotating), and the scallop chowder. There's always a line here, but it moves fairly quickly.

The soup is piping hot and served w/ sourdough bread. Tip: there's extra bread, crackers, and butter on the rack w/ all the serving utensils.

I like throwing in a few dashes of tabasco for that little spicy kick.

Really good New England Clam Chowder!

Sweet deal on the dungeness crab roll, chowder and drink. Be sure to check-in to get $2 OFF.

The chowder is creamy, sweet, and hearty.

Another Seattle staple. Long lines.

Better than Boudin SF for sure.

I took a mini vacation to visit my friend in Seattle this past weekend, and I was told that I had to try the chowder here. After much hype from her and other friends, I'm glad to say I was not disappointed. Although the chowder doesn't look like anything special from the massive pots displayed in the front (think the display at Baskin Robbins), do not be fooled. I drank every last drop of my soup! The soup was piping hot, full of fresh seafood, and the perfect consistency a chowder should be. Not too watery and not too thick.
