This is a very busy, touristy place but is really cool as far as markets go. Week days are an easier experience than on weekends.

Salmon on top of the spinach salad was amazingly moist and the root beer float was decadent! Wow other restaurants were packed out and a long wait, we went right in and we’re seated with great service!

All the best of Seattle here...fresh fish, fruits, vegetables, baked good, restaurants, artwork, t-shirts and lots of smiling people.

I first saw this place on the Real World when one of the cast members got a job here. Every tourist will come here and you'll see the famous fish toss. The market features a variety of fish; plus there's loads of other vendors on the marketplace.

Soooo crowded!! Fast paced outdoor market full of life. The fish market employees put on quite the show; tossing fish to each other shouting.

A really nice public market that can be overwhelming on weekends and during high tourist season. Particularly great if you have a place to cook fish wherever you're staying.

As a tourist I couldn't find any use of the wide array of seafood available here. Be it's certainly fun to look at them, and the guys that throw the fish.

The place in Seattle. Every tourist and local comes here on a yearly basis. Personally I'm a fan of the fish toss. You'll also find the first Starbucks here.

Like place is always a good place to check out whether you are a local and want some fresh seafood or produce, or are visiting the area and want to browse gifts and handmade goods.

This is one fun place to buy seafood. In fact, it is so fun many people just come to watch. Actually, their seafood is excellent and the staff are very helpful when they're not playing around.

Play a slippery game of catch and walk away with your local catch of the day. BBQs, spices, and tools are available at your rental to grill up your own fantastic meal.

The fish market is a must for all tourists and natives alike! Seeing the routine that the fish sellers put on as they toss large salmon and other fish through the air to one another, shouting jubilantly, is not to be missed.

tourist staple - what to say that hasn't already been said? I bring visitors here even by default - it's almost like we end up here even if I don't plan to. The fish is being tossed around less because those fishers need to drum up business. The markets are busy giving out samples and there's a group of musicians outside the very first starbucks, where they are tossing empty cups at a faster rate than the fish market. Lowell's or Etta's are my picks for food but there are many other smaller stands worth lining up at like Piroshky or the Chowder. Check out the cheese being made at Beecher's. Explore Post Alley in the back and see what else there is to discover. Go in with an open mind and then check out the gum wall. You never know what you might encounter when you're not looking for it.
