This is fun museum with some great exhibits. It can be a bit pricey so look for ways to find discount tickets. It’s not a critical spot to visit but I did like the fact you can see real props and costumes from classic movies like the Ironman suit, Terminator robot, or Wizard of Oz lion. They also have interactive exhibits for video games and music. I highly recommend you go during an off peak hour if you want to spend time with the exhibits as most video games are single player. There’s also a new Pearl Jam exhibit in the works that is not yet open. The special exhibit for this summer is all about the Marvel superheroes.

Super fun museum. Lots of different genres covered and great rotating exhibits. The Star Trek experience was a great tribute and very well curated. Definitely recommended.

The EMP Museum of Pop Culture is such a fun place for families - kids of all ages will find something interesting to see and do. There are several hands-on exhibits that will entertain for hours. I was thrilled to see the Jim Henson exhibit.

I turned full nerd when I walked into this place. They have everything your heart could hope for from the hover boards in Back to The Future to original Star Trek uniforms. They have multiple sections including, but not limited to: Fantasy, Horror, Sci-Fi, Star Trek, Gaming, Music (you can play multiple instruments), and more! You can literally spend the whole day here. I had such a blast here with my family and I hope you check it out if you have the time :)

If you are interested in pop culture this is the place! Spent a lot more time in here than originally planned. Star Trek 50th anniversary exhibit was awesome. Science fiction, fantasy and horror movie exhibits have lots of props from different films. Also the WOW fashion exhibit as well as the history of the guitar and Nirvana.

Hands down, this is one of my favourite museums in the world. I've visited it twice during my two trips to Seattle, and it never disappoints. My favourite is the Fantasy and Sci-fi galleries - truly interactive and engaging displays. The music level is also a whole lot of fun and great for families. Best part is the museum shop, where you can make all your geeky dreams come true! I caught the latest Star Trek exhibit and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Permanent exhibits are only good to visit once or twice. It's the temporary exhibits that locals enjoy. Ugly building even though it's designed by Gehry. Take the Monorail to and from the exhibit to enjoy another local historic landmark.

My wife and I took my 9 year old son and had a great time. We especially enjoyed the jam session in the music Studio. Well worth the price of admission if you enjoy music and want to better understand the history behind instruments and singers/bands with local roots.
