Description
It may be a little hokey, touristy, and geared towards the family-traveler, but that doesn't make the Seattle Waterfront any less appealing for its spectacular views and the summer concerts to which ... Read more
its piers play host. If you're looking for a nice green space to picnic, Myrtle Edwards Park has you covered; if you want some family-friendly fun, look no further than the Seattle Aquarium; take a ride along the waterfront's length on an old-timey street car. You may not see many locals, but the Seattle Waterfront is distinctly "Seattle"-- that's more than good enough for me!

The Seattle Waterfront is a very beautiful place and it’s a nice place to take the family and have fun. There’s usually people doing art and playing music there. The food there can be pricey but it’s Seattle everything’s pricey but nonetheless the food is usually amazing.

Great place to go for an easy walk and get views of the mountains. You'll see the Olympics and Rainer along with the islands out in the pudget sound. There is a walking path and biking path so those two modes of transportation can mostly stay separate, but they do converge from time to time. Be sure to check out the sculpture garden if you're in the waterfront, it's too close not too. If you get fat enough on the walk, there is an outdoor workout station.

The water front is an always changing dynamic environment. There is a range of people from the homeless to the love struck yuppies dripping with jewels. The Ye Old Curiosity Shop is a must. It is beautiful after dark, but safer during daylight hours.

Whether you walk along the waterfront or take a boat tour (Argosy harbor tour is included in a CityPass,) it's a view you don't want to miss. The harbor tour gives you a great picture of how Seattle hugs the sound and thrives on its waters with fishing, tourism, and commerce. Walking along the front, beware of sweet old lady's handing you things and asking for a "donation." Besides this little disruption, the weather was great for a walk. There's food, entertainment, museums, arts, and parks along the main stretch. Enjoy!

The Seattle Waterfront is a great way to spend a day, rain or shine. There is something for everyone, shops, the aquarium, the market, and the most beautiful expanse of gorgeous views. If you are hungry there is a collection of eateries from cafes to luxury restaurants.

Seattle's Waterfront is lovely and the Seattle Aquarium is a delight. Weather permitting, consider walking on a Washington State Ferry headed to Bainbridge Island via the pedestrian overpass at 1st and Marion. Enjoy the spectacular city view and explore Winslow for lunch. The Swallow's Rest guidebook has tips on where to eat and things to do.

The aquarium is great there. The water taxi takes you just south of the main waterfront.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is the massive amounts of construction in the area. There is a variety of restaurants for every budget. The Seattle wheel and carousel for the kids. Argosy Cruises and Tillicum Village for those looking for history with a view. Perfect stop just down from the market

Pretty view. They are doing some construction at the moment so it's a little bit hard to move through, but still nice.

The waterfront is a lot of fun. You can grab something to eat at one of the many restaurants or go to the aquarium and say hi to all the fish. You could also ride the great wheel or just walk around the boardwalk.

This area can be a bit dingey and crowded at times, but it's usually a good day out.

You will be staying ON the Seattle Waterfront. The Burke Gilman Trail hugs the north shore and the ship canal and is a few feet away from The Hawk's Nest.
