Weather

Boston is a top destination and books up early between April and November. May and June are often busy with college graduations, but with highs in the 60s and 70s, it's perfect weather for walking the Freedom ... Read more
Trail or catching a Red Sox game. Fall brings the famous New England foliage, the Head of the Charles Regatta, and crisp weather perfect for sipping hot chocolate. Bostonians have an added trick to check the weather: the lights atop the John Hancock tower. They remember the code with this poem: Steady blue, clear view. Flashing blue, clouds due. Steady red, rain ahead. Flashing red, snow instead.

Still a beautiful place even with all the snow covered branches. You can't help but admire your surroundings!

Somerville is a nice area of Boston with a great sense of community and several nice squares to check out. Fun Fact: Marshmallow Fluff was created in Somerville and there is a Fluff Festival every fall!

Somerville is a fun section of the Greater Boston area. Home to Inman, Porter, Teele, Ball, Magoun and Davis Squares; Somerville has a lot of small commerce centers for restaurants and shops. It is not always the easiest area to explore via public transport though... I highly recommend grabbing a car or biking to explore Somerville fully.

Just a little northwest of Boston, Somerville boasts one of the highest concentrations of artists in the country, and it shows in areas like Davis and Union Squares. The city spans from Tufts University's campus (and the upper-middle class housing that goes with academia) on the West side to the Central American and Brazilian neighborhoods of East Somerville, where you can find some great, cheap restaurants from those regions.

Every Fall, hundreds of marching bands get together to rock out on the streets of Davis Square for Honk!. It's an amazing spectacle to hear all these bands! On Sunday, there's a parade from Davis Square to Harvard Square.
