St George Vacations

St. George is southern Utah's largest city, an attractive stretch of green beneath red rock cliffs in the southwest desert. Its pleasant winter weather attracts a large number of "snowbirds" from the north, who stay for extended periods in the winter. The city is also conveniently close to Zion National Park and Snow Canyon State Park, both of ... Read more
which offers stunning natural landscapes, hiking, exploring, and camping adventures. If you find yourself in the city itself, a visit to Rosenbruch Wildlife Museum with the kids is worthwhile, while golf-lovers will enjoy the beautiful Sunbrook Course.

Skirting the border with Arizona, St George is often used as a launch-point for those exploring Zion National Park. This small town is surrounded by red rock mesas and feels like a younger, less built-up Sedona - in the best way possible! It's a laid back town that offers easy access to just about any outdoor activity you might want.

Great scenery. Cool red rock geological formations like much of southern Utah.

The weather is amazing ...82 degrees March 31st. Recently have been to several of the nearby national parks....Zion, Bryce Canyon and Kolob plus down to Lake Powell. These red rocks are so cool!

Just about an hour and a half north of Las Vegas, St. George is a wonderful place if you like warm weather and golfing. There are plenty of courses that will satisfy and delight the best of you. Some of the courses even follow the terrain of the local mountains that surround the city. Fun in the sun.

Not a bad place to stay if you plan to visit Zion National Park. Good enough hotels. Decent food. Okay people, although the Southern/Dixie motif can be worrying at times.
