the larger hotels but the experience just isn't the same. Enter Harvest Inn. Located on the south side of St Helena, Harvest Inn is a rare find. Yes, it's a larger property but staying here has the feel of a smaller high end chateau. The grounds are gorgeous and the service exceptional. There are a few different choices in accommodations, each one offering true 5 star quality. Breakfast is included so try not to sleep in too late otherwise you will miss out on an excellent spread. All this for a price that won't break the bank. We stayed here for my birthday weekend and from the start to finish everything was perfect. It also helped that it was 77 degrees in the middle of winter, thank you weatherperson! The hotel is located near some of St Helena's best restaurants. And when I say "near", I mean it. For example, my wife booked us a table at Press Steakhouse. So of course we got in our car and headed on over only to find out that the restaurant was located right next door. The Harvest Inn frequently runs special deals, so if you are planning a getaway be sure to check out their website.

Big rooms with private balcony overlooking a swimming pool. A complimentary bottle of wine on arrival.

Nice. This is a great hotel that really gets the details right. It is arranged as a cluster of small brick cottages with 3 rooms in each. The beds were very comfy and the staff was very helpful - we requested an aerobed for the kids and it arrived in minutes.

A stay includes a free continental breakfast of quiche, muffins and other treats in a country kitchen overlooking the vineyard.

Great place! Loved it.

Weekend is always expensive in Napa and Sonoma area. Consider staying close to downtown for reasonable rates. Places like Calistoga is usually costs less than the rest of the areas.

We loved the fire in the room and the breakfast offer by the hotel. Great place to stay and explore wine country.
