This is the most popular and challenging hike in Torres del Paine National Park, taking around four to five days in total to complete. This stunning trek is hard to beat anywhere else on the continent, as your route leads you past beautiful viewpoints and picturesque mountain landscapes for the full duration of your hike. The most recognised viewpoint here is from Mirador Los Torres, where you catch the best view of the famous towers that give the national park its name. An absolute must when in Chile.

This 3-4 day series of hikes takes you through two of the most picturesque valleys in Torres del Paine National Park. The weather is highly variable but the views, when you get them, are stunning. Strong winds (easily 70km / hour with much stronger gusts) are an obstacle but the infrastructure is good, the trails well marked, and there is ample drinking water everywhere.

Usually hiked from right to left beginning with Valle Ascencio and then heading west to Los Cuernos, Valle del Frances and ending at Lago Grey. The hiking is of moderate difficulty. Only the last 45 min - 1 hour of the Valle Ascencio portion (up to Base de Las Torres) is slightly difficult but, despite the spectacular scenery, altitude isn't a worry and anyone in reasonable shape should be able to do it.

Stay in a series of refugios or do as a series of day hikes from a single base. There are no predators or snakes so the only cause for concern is weather -- gusts do sometimes push people off of cliffs and will even overturn cars (but warning signs are posted so anyone who is heads up and doesn't go into off-limit areas will be fine).

If you are in a rush, prioritize Valle Ascencio and Valle del Francés + try to do the navigation on Lago Grey.
