Description
Jamaica's Treasure Beach is an off-the-beaten-path string of sleepy fishing villages on coves where waves lap on sand and locals still ride donkeys to market. On an island where the tourist traps are ... Read more
thick as thieves, Treasure Beach is an oasis of authenticity. One reason for this back-in-time feel is that Treasure Beach is tough to get to - at least two hours down bumpy roads. But the relaxing vibe and the backcountry quiet make the trip worth it.

Want a long day trip or over night trip. Head down to Treasure Beach and while there check out or stay at Jake's.

Rural, local, off the beaten path and laid back. Travel here if you want a real island experience and enjoy the vibes of this still secluded spot

Billy's Bay is part of Treasure Beach, of course, but each little harbor - Frenchman's, Calabash Bay, Great Bay -- has its own character. You can see them from a fisherman's boat better than from a car.

Treasure Beach is so cool, peaceful secluded beaches, the only place in Jamaica that you can still find a real authentic Jamaican experience. I stayed at Katamah a beautiful Moroccan style guest house right on the beach, full of tree's, hammocks, and we had a bon-fire on the beach, a couple of guy's played guitars and we all sang.....the people are so friendly and laid back. Saw them all at Smurf Cafe (popular breakfast) spot in very peaceful & relaxing LOVED IT!!
