Amazing pools and streams, some overflowing the bridges. Take the tram - get on and off - or walk the 3 mile trail into the canyon.

A desert oasis that you can tour in the comfort of a tram as the driver provides educational narration of what you'll see.

Here you can hike, bike, picnic or swim till your heart's content. At Sabino Canyon you'll enjoy some of Tucson's most spectacular scenery.

Located in NE Tucson (N. on Sabino Canyon Rd) this is one of the most popular areas for hiking, walking and observing the surrounding desert. There is a tram that is available for those who wish to ride up (or up and down) into and from the Canyon. In the spring, expect to see waterfalls and pools. One of Tucson's truly beautiful areas.

One of the most beautiful canyons around. Take the shuttle ride to see all of the main canyon and learn about the area. There are also many hiking trails for all levels of adventurers. Just be sure to take enough water, wear a hat and sunscreen!

If you're going to Sabino Canyon with young or old/less active friends, you must take this shuttle to the top! Otherwise, you waste your energy walking up the long path and never get to the beautiful part of the park.

Twelve thousand years ago columbian mamouth roamed here. A desert oasis with a bus for those not able to walk the 8 mile walk up the canyon. We hike this canyon several times each year we come to Tucson. A wild life and desert experience not to be missed

A energy park with hiking trails for all levels. There is even a trolley with an informative nature talk for those who don't want to walk. As a middle ground you can ride the trolley up and hike from there up or down.

An incredible spot for Day Hikers, and an equally great spot to catch the same views riding the tram.

Fun for the whole family, and an incredible place to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise and fresh air.

Sabino Canyon is a perfect place for a day hike, even if you only have a couple of hours. There's a road that leads up to the canyon, and a tram that takes you up and down if you wish. I recommend taking the tram up and hiking the whole way down like we did, so you can explore and have time to take a million photos. I mean, if we hadn't hiked down, we wouldn't have found a little lagoon with water and rocks to climb on. Or see an actual roadrunner. Or find a weird cactus with yellow pineapple-looking things on it.

So picturesque and very beautiful!

Either hike on the paved paths, or go off the beaten path on the dirt trails to adventure the Catalina Foothills. Also, a motorized tram is available if you just want to take it easy up and down. Biking available in the early mornings.
