Absolutely beautiful gardens. Not the best variety in the world, but definitely in this part of the state.

Rare desert plants in seasonal displays. Butterfly house offers amazing varieties of butterflies and tiny, rainforest frogs, October through May. Cafe has outstanding offerings and the gift shop is a must see.

Located on N. Alvernon, the Botanical Gardens are approx. 15 min from the condo. All types of species of plants indigenous to the desert, a 'butterfly garden' - eatery and gift shop. Small entrance fee.

All kinds of wonderful gardens to stroll through and enjoy. Each year they have a butterfly exhibit (except during the summer) which is awesome. They also have traveling exhibits which change yearly. Recently they have hosted the Lego show and Frieda Callo displays.

People enjoy the butterfly garden and extensive plant displays. Who knew there were so many kinds of succulents? The restaurant is fantastic with outdoor dining under the trees. They cook with local foods where possible. About 12 minutes away. Special events and classes.

What we like about the Tucson Botanical Gardens is that it's a great place to get away from the heat (lots of natural shade) AND it is very educational about the many wonderful botanicals that can be successfully grown in our area. Easy stroll.

A secret oasis in the heart of Tucson. The Tucson botanical gardens is a tranquil and inspiring place of beauty for all. From October to April the butterfly Magic exhibit is open. Step into the tropical greenhouse for an exotic butterfly adventure that spans eleven countries: get up close with some of the most beautiful and exotic butterflies of the world. See the disappearing act of the blue morpho, observe the mating ritual of the Priamus birdwing, gaze upon the huge wing span of the atlas moth and view the feeding if the large owl butterfly.

The Tucson Botanical Garden is small (about 5ish acres) but show cases the incredible plant diversity of the Sonoran desert. If you are looking for flashy and over the top, this is not that kind of Botanical Garden. It is low-key and a great place to hang out in the middle of town and enjoy the uniqueness of the Tucson desert. They also have a dynamite cafe (Cafe Botanica) that is open for breakfast and lunch

I am a member of TBG and love to walk through its gardens or have lunch there. Beautiful urban desert landscaping as well as a children's garden and a native cultures food garden.

A leisurely stroll through this beautiful garden consisting of predominantly native plants gives one a true appreciation of desert vegetation. The gardens are situated in mid-town Tucson, a mere 20 minute drive away and are a must-see for anyone who appreciates beautiful and unique gardens. Be sure to look for the butterfly exhibits in the early spring.
