Valencia Vacations

One of Spain’s most important cities along with Barcelona and Madrid, Valencia has a gusto all its own. The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) is a fascinating quarter with unique architecture by Calatrava, and the Seu Cathedral, which has doors from three different historical periods are two popular sites. centuries of Moorish rule, Valencia’s language is a dialect of Catalan, though Spanish is usually understood. A warm Mediterranean climate invites visitors year round. However, if you really want to squeeze the juice of Valencia’s orange, come for the crazy Fallas festival in March, which sees days of nearly constant fireworks culminating in bonfires of giant, carefully constructed papier-mache sculptures carrying often satiric meanings. Prefer fight to flame? Come for the tomatino, a giant tomato fight, in sweltering August, hosted in nearby Buñol. A coastal city, Valencia is also known for cuisine like the iconic Paella Valenciana and some wild nightlife.

My favourite city in the world. It has the perfect balance between a city break and a beach break. Prices were great and you can find a lot of cheap bars and restaurants. Considering the weather was so good, most of the activities I did were outside and free. The food was absolutely beautiful and very reasonably priced.

Nice place (Better than Barcelona). More luxurious, clean, with nice big park for running, cycling, football and more. I will visit it again

Valencia has it all. Culture, history, beaches, great food, nightlife, big Parks, great weather. Not as a big as Madrid or Barcelona, less touristy, more liveable.

The province capital is only 1 hour and a half driving from Beniqueen. Many tourist atractions. Very atractive town centre. Do not miss its Mercado Central for food and its architecture.

We usually take in a night or two in Valencia when flying in or out. It is our favourite city. The architecture, restaurants, shops, site seeing are all perfect. Strongly recommend a trip to the beach whilst there too, and the marina.

A beautiful city of arts and sciences, and home to the paella. Architecture of this wonderful city was just amazing, best seen around the Plaza Ayuntamiento.
