Our hotel for two nights was the Sheraton Wall Centre in downtown Vancouver. It was an easy walk from the AirTrain that I took from the airport. It’s about $8 for a one-way trip from the airport. I got out at the City Center and it was about 8 blocks to my destination or a 10 minute walk. The valet associate was telling us that I could have gotten out at the Yaletown stop and walked 7 blocks even though Google Maps told me to get out at City Center. I arrived and was able to check in. They have two towers and my reservation was for the South Tower but I was in the lobby at the North Tower so I checked in there. When I made my reservation, I asked for a few requests (higher level room, feather pillows, away from elevator). I was able to get 2 out of 3 but despite being closer to the elevators, we didn’t hear too much noise from them. We were on the 24th floor and could still hear sirens in the middle of the night (there is a hospital across the street). The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The bathroom only had a shower, which was fine but I would have loved to see a tub. They utilize a card system which shuts off the lights when the card is not in the slot. I asked for two cards, as it was me and a friend. The double beds were comfortable and the air blew cold.

We found the gym and worked out both mornings before heading out. The gym had basic amenities so there was a pool, Jacuzzi, cardio equipment, and separate weight room. I was really excited to see that they had muscle roller sticks as I was sore from a run. We enjoyed the room. No free breakfast on this reservation but we got a discounted rate for the Seawheeze weekend. Apparently there’s a Club Lounge that we weren’t aware of that had breakfast and happy hour drinks and a rooftop. Strange that we weren’t told about it, but oh well. I was happy for the cleanliness of the room, the location of the hotel, and the pleasant stay. On the day we checked out, we asked for them to hold our luggage for a bit, while we went to check out the Farmer’s Market. Afterwards, they hailed a cab for us to take us to the cruise terminal at Canada Place. As a BonVoy Marriott guest, I received 2 bottles of water complimentary in the room which was nice. Great place to stay, if you’re looking in Downtown Vancouver.

As the other reviewers have mentioned, the Sheraton hotel is massive. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown. Due to its close proximity to attractions, travelers without a car need not fret, as everything is within walking distance or easily accessible via transit. It’s apt that business buildings surround the Sheraton, as the hotel caters to many business guests. The Sheraton boasts of impressive conference halls and meeting rooms, comfortably accommodating large numbers.

But for non-business visitors, there are superb amenities such as gym, pool, and spa. The suites are large with modern décor and ceiling to floor windows. The hotel is one of the highest in the city so the upper floor rooms provide an amazing view of downtown. With FIFA occurring in the city at the moment, the hotel is extremely busy. That being said, I found their customer service and attitude to still be very welcoming.

Wall Centre is located in the heart of busy Vancouver’s business district. Upon arriving the first thing I noticed was how massive this hotel is. The building is quite tall which meant the view from the room I was in was an amazing water view. As the hotel faces several directions, I’m sure the views in other rooms that are higher up are just as fantastic. The rooms themselves are a good size. They were very comfortable. The bathroom was nice and included complimentary soap, moisturizer, shampoo and conditioner. This hotel really does have everything you need. There’s a pool, fitness centre, meeting rooms and restaurants attached. Like I said, it’s in the heart of downtown Vancouver so it is easy to travel around to and from as well.

Wow, what to say about this hotel except: EPIC!! I was told this is the largest hotel in Western Canada, and I believe it. All things told, this hotel occupies half a city block! There are two towers, North and South, and each has great views in their respective direction after about the 16th floor.
With their lush and relaxing gardens in the front, this is a true urban getaway. As I found out, it’s big enough to get lost in this hotel (I won’t lie, it happened to me). On the plus side, it has all the amenities: pool, hot tub, sauna, business work stations, bar and restaurant/cafe, plus conference centres galore. The staff were very friendly but there’s no doubt this hotel caters to the business crowd and seemed a little dry because of it.

The Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel is huge! I had never appreciated how huge until I walked from the elevator to the pool/health club facility. It was quite a trek, and it would be difficult for someone with mobility challenges. That said, you won’t be disappointed when you get there because it has pretty much everything you could want in a fitness centre. It would be better if there were separate saunas for men and women, but that’s a minor issue.

In terms of the room itself, it was nice, if a bit chain-hotel generic. I loved the fabulous city view, though! I didn’t notice any signs of wear in the room, but around the pool area and in other public areas there were some.

This hotel can accommodate large events and corporate functions and would be ideal for business travellers, especially as it is in a great downtown location.

Cross your fingers that your next conference or trade show will be hosted here - the Sheraton Vancouver is really that great a hotel. From the moment you walk inside its glass towers everything is so sleek, modern, and professional.

The rooms are spacious and modern with great city views through the floor to ceiling windows. The beds are heavenly and the Starbucks coffee is a nice touch - especially if you have early meetings! There's a decent sized work desk too and no extra charge for the wireless internet.

If you have the chance for some R&R, the health club is huge with a lap pool, Jacuzzi tubs, a sauna, and a fitness center with very new equipment.

The location is great too with everything you need in walking distance including restaurants, skytrain station, and a great supermaket and wine shop across the road.
