latte), their scrumptious waffles (the only ones I’ve had in Vancouver that are reminiscent of the waffles I had in Belgium), and of course their delicious brunch cuisine. It’s a solid menu, but I always find myself going back to the Saumon Fume: two ciabatta breads, one with a fried egg and salmon cream cheese and the other with arugula and artichoke salad. They are conveniently located on Richards Street off Robson.

Came on a Thursday at 10am and there was a line out the door, came back at 1:30pm and still waited 45min. We ordered the Coca plate and Pallea. Both were hearty and full of flavor. They are known for their waffles so don't skip out on those.

Amazing brunch cuisine. They have a very unique take on blending Moroccan and North African flavors and spices with various brunch options. The results are fantastic. They are also well known for their tasty Belgian waffles - probably my favorite spot for brunch in Vancouver!

Its hard to decide which is more impressive, the presentation or the taste of the amazing dishes. You simply can't go wrong with any of the options. And don't forget to try one of their signature little Belgian waffles with one of their amazing sauces. The only downside- they don't take AmEx.

First off, do yourself a favor and throw your name on the wait list early, we went in on a Saturday morning and boy howdy the wait was at 1hr and 15mins! Second off, do yourself a second favor and order the damn soda, its mucho on the delish!

The mood and setting of Medina is casual with a slight french touch. Our food was AMAZING, I had the chorizo Paella dish...and yes Yes WHY EE ES. Do it. You know you want to. My girlfriend ended up ordering the Fricassée with a side of mushrooms (NOTE: the side orders of mushrooms is freaking HUGE), and she loved every last bite of it.

We also ended up ordering the avocado toast and have nothing bad to say about it, rather is was super tasty and the bread was amazingly soft. Silvia, our server, was super thoughtful and extremely sweet. She noticed that my girlfriend ordered the lavender latte with almond milk instead of regular milk, and she then noticed that my girlfriend ordered the Fricassée which has dairy; Silvia took it upon herself to come back to our table right before placing the order in the system and ensure that my girlfriend isn't lactose intolerant (due to her preference for almond milk vs. regular/real milk). That action shows the level of thought and care the servers at Medina have for their customers, which to me weighs rather heavily in my preference for what restaurants to spend my hard earned exchanged dollars.

10/10 would enjoy the awesome of Cafe Medina's food and staff AGAIN!

Medina cafe is a feast for both the taste buds and the eyes. A mix of French Mediterranean and North American brunch fare. Brisket fricasee was amazing and rich with spice, Their Wolf Plate looks a little meager when served satisfies a teenaged appetite with the thick flavors. However none of these hold a candle to their waffles stored in a beautiful case that greet the usually long line of guests waiting for a table. Your selection of toppings and a side. For a true Canadian experience recommend the Medina Apple smoked bacon and the maple syrup topping. Medina will not disappoint just get their early!!!

If you're feeling dessert as the first meal of your day, definitely don't hesitate to give Medina Cafe a try! While you'll probably be destined to wait in line for a table, unless you get extremely lucky, mark my words - the wait is well worth it! This uber-popular breakfast and brunch spot recently upsized their location because they got too busy to handle the local demand. Order one of their delicious flavoured lattes (lavender, vanilla, raspberry caramel, or salted caramel) and their amazing waffles with dark chocolate topping. I highly recommend adding a side of Earnest ice cream with plum & root beer bitters! Yummy!

Be sure to get there early, especially on weekends. No other brunch place in the city develops a lineup quite like Medinas. Their coffee is to die for and all of their dishes use the freshest ingredients. And if you're only there once, you can't go wrong with a Belgian waffle with one (or two or three) of their dipping sauces on the side.

Medina is slightly pricey, but always worth it. Eclectic, unique dishes and a relaxed cafe culture in a beautiful setting, not to mention the fantastic coffee. If you're heading there for one of their famous weekend brunches, arrive early.

Went here for breakfast and had the Frittata. You could taste the fresh ingredients they use and after I had a waffle, oh I still taste it in my mouth. It's thick and fluffy. If you like more doughy waffle, then it's here.
