Yes, it's a seemingly overpriced tourist trap but it's an experience too. Its privileged setting, in St Mark's Square, is matched by some of the most delightful and flawless service I've experienced - anywhere. And its frozen tiramisu is legendary.

My favourite place in Venice which Napoleon famously referred to as 'The finest drawing room in Europe' Quite simply breathtaking. History ooozes from the frescoed walls, the musicians are incredible and the food/beverages pricey but in these surroundings, worth every penny!

Caffe Florian is one of those Venetian traditions that you should probably try just to say you have. It's located in San Marco, right in the Piazza, so convenient to grab a coffee and a seat if you can get one.

The historic, the iconic, the famous Caffe Florian. A must stop for everyone and worth every penny. Inside is a tribute to the 18th century drawing room and a real experience to be served there. Be warned you will be paying more for your coffee and drinks to be sitting on the famed cafe on St. Mark's, and when you sit outside they will add an extra entertainment fee to the bill for the band that will be playing but it is all part of the experience. Where else can you get culture with coffee?

Caffè Florian is a must-try for anyone visiting Venice for the first time. The cafe has been a cornerstone of St. Mark's Square since 1720. It is rather pricey, but the magical experience is worth splurging. Order some coffee and one of their beautiful desserts, sit back and people-watch while listening to the restaurant's orchestra.

A beautiful cafe that you see has kept a lot of its history. Fantastic and romantic music in the background, people enjoying their coffee and being in the moment.

It is a lot of drinks and coffee to choose from, and food. The waiters are classy and professional and gives you a feeling of being important. I will definitely come here again.

Venice is a romantic city, you can see many couples walk around, take the gondola, and drink the coffee everywhere. The must go cafe is Caffe Florian. That's the best coffee I've ever had, the decoration is the classical style that will lead you back to the old times. The romantic thing is you can hear the music of orchestra.

The famous cafe in the center of Venice. Lovely spot but due to it's fame it is incredibly expensive to eat here.

What can you say about Cafe Florian? Even with it's 'landmark' status, it never feels like a gaudy tourist attraction. Martinis in the evening with their delicious finger sandwiches overlooking San Marco in the moonlight: magic. Sitting in the velvety booths with a wine while the attentive waiters bring you antipasti: gorgeous.

Florian adheres to ro rituals established c. 1720: uniformed waiters serve hot chocolate on silver trays, lovers canoodle in plush banquettes indoors and the orchestra strikes upa tango as fading sunlight iluminates San Marco's portal mosaics. Definitely a place to pass by and deluct the same indulging hot chocolate Mozart used to have.

Cafe Florian is an experience. Situated in the beautiful Piazza San Marco, it is known for being one of the oldest coffee house in continuous operation. Yes, it is a bit pricy, but I think it's worth it, especially in the morning when Piazza San Marco is not too crowded.

This is Italy's oldest and most divine caffe. Casanova loved coming here because it was the only place that allowed women back in his day. When the evening orchestra starts up it feels like you're in a dream world. Yes, it's pricey, but go ahead, settle in to a velvet banquette, and treat yourself to one of the many wonders of Venice.

I did the typical tourist thing and sat in the Piazza San Marco with a glass of wine and nibbles from the Cafe Florian while listening to the band playing. A wonderful experience. I didn't go inside the Cafe, though. But the service was fine.

One of those places to sit and have drink or a meal right on the Piazza San Marco. Very famous place with prices to match. So, it's one of those places you do so you can say you did it.
