This is probably the place that generates the largest crowds in Verona albeit most visit to take photos with the Juliet statue or to leave messages on the wall.

Beside the romantic place enjoy a stroll through Verona's Via Mazzini best shopping street from the Theather to Casa di Gulietta, with bars and restaurants in between.

They say it's good luck in love if you touch Giulietta's breast. But get there early or you'll be waiting in line all the way out the gate. It really is a cute little courtyard in the city center, and if you enter the house, you can stand on the balcony calling out to Romeo.

This is a very large tourist trap. Honestly I thought it took away from the romance of what I read in school about romeo and Juliet. I went in the summer of 2016 and they had put plexiglass in front of the wall prohibiting people from leaving letters to Juliet. I think there was a way to inside of the house, but everything was monetized... cool to see, but not solely worth a trip to Verona.

The most popular spot in Verona is this balcony located in a small square. Every year hundreds of thousands of us trek to Verona to see the balcony where Juliet stood while Romeo declared his love.

In a teeny tiny little square so packed with tourists you can barely move. Worth a quick peek but the rest of Verona is more charming.

Juliette's house: This is not real but the story of Romeo & Juliette is told in each room. There was a wedding when I went so it can be used for that as well! Heart shaped keys everywhere with love notes written on the walls and a statue of Juliette which is said to bring love to those who touch her.

If it's good enough for Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, it's good enough for us. If your (hopefully) fiancee-to-be is a literary fan, this beautiful 14th-century building (home of the Cappello family – possibly the model for the Capulets) in the romantic city of Verona in Italy will tick all the right boxes.

We visited Juliet's house when we were in Verona. It's a very touristy place complete with "locks of love" you can buy to attach to the fence outside the home. If you think it looks familiar, it was featured in the movie, Letters to Juliet (2010) with Amanda Seyfried and Vanessa Redgrave. The home itself is a museum dedicated to Juliet, the real one not the fictional one made up by Shakespeare and is a 14th century home complete with balcony. The museum does require an admission fee but you can graffiti the walls of the outside courtyard tunnel for free. Declare your love for that special someone or rub on the breast of the Juliet statue for good luck. You can tell which one by the shininess of statue in that particular area. It's a cool place to visit but don't expect to spend gobs of time there. Enjoy!

This is a well loved and much visited spot. Be prepared for lots of very loud children and dare I say it Americans ( sorry ! ). Rub the statue of Juliet ( poor child, did she ever think her breast would be shiny with the attention of her visitors?), then get out and explore the surround town!

Although this most likely was a 13-century inn instead of Juliet’s house, it was still fun though to walk out on the balcony!

Although many dispute whether or not Romeo and Juliet actually existed at all, this house remains a Verona must-stop and a popular attraction that thousands visit each year. Actually, it seemed more like thousands visit each day, it was so crowded. It is rumored that good luck will come to those who rub the right breast of the bronze Juliet statue in the courtyard. I'm fairly certain I passed.

"Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night." W. Shakespeare - Romeu and Juliet, 1597, act I, scene V

A little part of the classic you can find at the museum inside Juliet's house. Worths a visit.

This place is overcrowded by young people coming here for posting a message on the wall, or just having a look to Giulietta statue, or visiting the house of the famous main character of Shakespeare's novel.
