Loved everything about this place from the second I arrived in the sacred valley. To start the weather is perfect! The air is clean and fresh. The people are lovely. There is so much to do and so many places to stay and restaurants to try for such a little town. It is truly magical! A small town with international draw and I can see why. Plus it is affordable! What an incredible find!

View from hostel izchayluma. Stay here! It was the highlight of our trip. We ended up spending 4 days here and contemplated junking our galapagos trip to stay longer.

Beautiful, dry Andean valley just south of Loja. There are number of countryside resorts and hostels outside of town, perfect for exploring hiking, relaxing or dancing your way into other universes via a San Pedro hallucination. I had my one and only encounter with the famous cactus in this spot and it remains a top spiritual and intellectual experience of my life.
