The Virginia Aquarium is within a few miles of our home and a favorite Virginia Beach attraction where you and your family can explore over 800,000 gallons of one of the best aquariums and animal habitats in the country. Experience hands-on exhibits, nature path, and marshlands.

Always fun for all ages. Take a dolphin tour or see an imax movie. Learn about ocean life or zipline through the woods to the woodlands section and see some native birds and wildlife.

A bit pricey, and they try to upsell you on chintzy photos, but the exhibits are well-done and we had a nice stay with my two kids, 18mos and 4yo.

A great place to see and learn about ocean life. The kids love the interaction areas. A nice path to walk over to the bird sanctuary. A great place to visit , close to the oceanfront, plenty of parking. Nice for rainy days, hot, and cold weather.

Always a good place to take visitors. I've been going since I was a kid and the changes they've made in recent years has only made it better. Don't forget to pet the rays!

Super cool for all ages! Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. If I lived nearby, I would definitely become a member. Informative, interactive, and fun. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Ropes course looked awesome! (We'll have to try that next time when our kids are a little older.) What a cool concept to have a scenic nature trail between buildings. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Great rainy day outing. See Atlantic Ocean critters. History of the Atlantic Coast as it affects Virginia Beach.

A little pricey but I thought it was worth it. The nature walk to the otters was my favorite. The adventure park is extra with its zip lines and rope bridges.

There are 2 large buildings housing aquariums. The 2 different aquariums are separated by a nature walk with plenty of place for a picnic, but they also have trees rigged with zip lines for the more adventurous.

It's a small aquarium but full of awesome aquatic life. The grounds outside are really done well. It's a great place to hang out and learn

I went here a few times when I was younger, and recently went back. Definitely a good place for kids. It was fun to see all the animals. They have a newer ropes course that you'll walk under if you go over to the marsh building (where they have otters!). It looks fun!

The aquarium itself is average, but I'm giving 5 stars to the Adventure Park there. It's a series of zip lines and ropes course obstacles with varying levels of difficulty that are fun, challenging, and safe for adults and kids. Kids are able to navigate the courses by themselves, as long as they don't try levels that are too advanced for them. It's pricey, but worth it. And there can be a waiting list, so plan accordingly.

This is a great place for families to bring their kids to see some marine life. We easily spent 3 hours here. There are kid's play areas in both buildings for toddlers. They also have an adventure zip line for big kids and adults for an exra charge. It is really neat! I recommend every tourist to come here!

This is great aquarium and marine science center. You kindden get lost some areas of the museum because of no flow from one display to another display. The Science Center is a very long walk out to that building. This site has gone out of its way to ensure disability access is achieved. Plenty of disability parking and great curb cuts. You will need at least 4 hours to go through everything.
