Best bet is to tour during the week when the factory is operating. Otherwise, it's not as interesting. Also, check out the "graveyard" out back of all the discontinued flavors.

This is a fun trip to make for adults and children. it is best if you can visit when the plant is making ice-cream

Offers tours of the factory, which we missed because we didn’t arrive till evening. The property itself is beautiful, we had an ice cream and walked around. Favourite part was the “flavor graveyard”.

This is a must for families and ice cream fanatics! They give free samples of any flavors! Short 20 minute ride up route 100.

Fun to do with kids or as an alternative on bad weather days! They have a great gift shop, too.

We stopped here on our way to Canada and I'm so glad we did! The tour was very informative and gave a lot of history on the company which was fascinating. The sample at the end were much bigger then I expected. Also try some of the exclusive factory only flavors!

A visit to the factory almost takes on the feeling of a pilgrimage for ice cream lovers! The tour is pretty quick, and includes a film, a description of the process from a view of the factory floor, and a sample. You can also visit the gift shop and the graveyard outside, where the retired flavors rest in peace!

Great ice cream. Nice atmosphere. Restrooms were really dirty. Otherwise, great. The flavor graveyard was interesting, some of these would love to see come back, like Maine Blueberry.

Take the tour. See how they make Chubby Hubby and other classic flavors. A free cone on the way out. One of Vermont's most popular attractions. Sync this trip with a lunch or dinner in Stowe.

The Ben & Jerry's HQ is pretty awesome as expected. If you go on the tour, you'll get to try an original flavor only found at HQ. We got to try Cotton Candy. Be sure to visit the Flavor Graveyard to mourn your favorite flavor of yesteryear.

This is it! Home of Chunky Monkey, The Americone Dream and Cherry Garcia to name a few. The factory tours only happen during the week so if you go on a weekend you won't get the "full experience" but still a great time!

We were here on a weekend when there was no ice cream production going on, but we've been to a Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory in the past when production was going on, so I don't think we really missed too much. Parking was crazy here, and lots of people. It took at least 15-20 minutes to get through the line to buy ice cream. Lots to see and do here, and a flavor graveyard for the flavors no longer being made.

Always fun - especially for families. Open all year. Conveniently across the road from Cold Hollow Cidar. So you can witness cidar making on the same little day trip from here. In Foliage, the cidar mill has samples and crackers to go with the fresh cidar.

Nice tour, free ice cream taste at the end, reasonable price to do the tour, Ice Cream of course and a fun gift shop and picture taking opportunities.

The tour of this quirky ice cream factory is fun, informative, and delicious. It's a bit of a drive from Burlington, but the route is beautiful, so it's hard to complain.

The Ben & Jerry's factory tour shows you where all the flavors come from and how they are combined into the wonder that is Ben & Jerry's ice cream. And they give you samples!

The headquarters of Ben & Jerry's offers a really cool tour of their factory - it starts off with a movie, detailing the history of Ben & Jerry's, then leads you to the production room and ends with a tasting of the flavor of the day. It's not much of a building to look at but I always think these tours are interesting, and since Ben & Jerry's is a Vermont staple, you can't miss it.

We're all kids at heart...who doesn't LOVE ice cream? Take a tour of the factory and get a taste of "special" flavors only available there. We challenge you to try the "Vermontster"...

It's a bit of a drive (about an hour), but worth the trip for a fun familyg day! The Factory tour featuring Vermont's own Ben and Jerry's Ice cream where you get to see how it's made and even sneak a sample! When done there, I'd head into Stowe and up the Mountain Road, over Smuggler's notch and head back to St. Albans that way. You won't regret it! Lots and Lots of shops and things to do and see- Plan on a full afternoon for sure, and maybe stop for dinner along the way home.
