I spent 3 nights at Silk Road Hostel and I can say that it was the best accommodation I had after a month in Iran.
The rooms are clean and cozy, the staff are very kind and willing to help.
It has a very comfortable hall where is easy to meet other travelers (which is really nice for me as a solo traveler). The food is really yummy. the buffet breakfast is very complete and you can order really nice food for lunch or dinner at very cheap prices.
You can find many information about what to do around Yazd and also book some trips to interesting sites around the city.
I was there in July and I have to say that the weather was too hot, but inside the hotel there is aircon, so is a good place to take a rest.

One of the most delicious meals I ate, for a grand total of USD3 comes at the restaurant of this hotel in Yazd. Well-signposted, it’s unmissable. Designed in the style of a caravanserai, an open central courtyard is green and pristine with pretty seating and shade cover. I order ‘Kashk e-Badamjan’ aubergine stew. It’s served with rice and vegetables and fresh mint tea. For truly authentic and mouth-wateringly delicious food at reasonable rates, this is a hidden haven.

I enjoyed my stay in Silk Road - I was staying in dorm, which was almost full during my stay there and is very reasonably priced. I met a lot of fellow backpackers there, we were hanging out in the yard and having a good time. Atmosphere is great, but don't expect anything luxurious. It's one of the best (if not the best) place I stayed during my stay in Iran.
