By day, this recently remodeled waterfront garden is where locals come to take some leisure time, where the young boys challenge each other’s acrobatic dives into the harbor, and where a handful of ... Read more

Great Zanzibari street food with an awesome community vibe. Try the shwarma, Zanzibar pizza, fresh coconut water or sugarcane juice. Also look out for the Zanzibar mix and fresh seafood, grilled on the spot.

Its a small garden by the sea, close to many restaurants and old attractions like Museums, the fort, nice to walk by.

Chances are, you'll wander through Forodhani Gardens dozens of times during your stay in Stone Town - the latticework of roads and alleys are so confusing that you'll often end up here by mistake over and over again. However, views of the water are spectacular and on any given night there are food vendors grilling or frying up the day's catch with local music to accompany.

Cool meeting spot that always seems to have something going on. Sometimes there is music there during the day, At sunset there are local boys doing crazy flips and belly flops into the water, and at night it turns into the food market. Take a meander through to see if you can catch something going on.

During the day it's scattered with both locals escaping the heat or taking a lunch break and tourists attempting to escape touts. At night it becomes a bustling social arena and the site of Zanzibar's essential night market, where you'll find both street food vendors and craftsmen hawking their wares. .

I absolutely love this open air market at night. I come here for dinner. There are so many options. Fisherman come here and grill their fish right in front of you. I got a giant grilled lobster and a Zanzibar grilled pizza for dessert.

Follow the trail of the sultans, slaves and exprorers in the winding streets of Stone Town. Your guide will tell you about the events that shaped Zanzibar, leading you through the buildings where it all happened, such as the former Slave Market and Anglican Cathedral, the House of Wonders and the Sultans' Palace Museum, the Old Arab Fort and Dispensary....(www.zanonetours.com) or info@zanonetours.com.

Abends ist hier ganz schön was los!
