Welcome to France in the Caribbean. Interesting city with lots of local color and worth exploring.

I spend in this city my last day before I leave Guadaloupe. We enjoyed markets and shops and we were really surprised when all restaurants closed at 15:00 with promise it will open at 18 but all places stayed closed. That day we went sleep with empty belly :D

It is the largest city of Guadeloupe, just located at the connection of Grand Terre and Basse Terre. There are some nice corner, such the spicy market, but in general it is a quite messy town, with old and not so well kept buildings. However it is in someways fascinating. It worths a couple of hours visiting.
